If you decide to buy this unit.. it will be challenge to get it to operate…. You must set the pressure well above (160psi) the tire pressure you desire. Nowhere does it tell you that… But I am a “techie” and figured it out.. if you are not.. good luck And to add insult to this &$#*()&… one day after ordering there is a 10% discount on Amazon was applied Luck of the draw. It does work well .. on small jobs .. bikes, cars , motorcycles .. as stated An extra issue.. the 12v cigarette connector requires a some fitness to connect… very stiff contacts Once you have mastered these negatives .. you will be fine…. I have no idea how long it will last.. expect to use it 4 times a year . max. As I manage my car tire pressures. Offsite and Emergency use. carried in SUV 2 year warranty is nice . I just used it to add about 3psi to my 4 tires. Cord length is good and fit securely in the power outlet. Fit easily over the valve stem and secured easily. I set the psi to the correct amount on the compressor and turned it on. It shows the current pressure and added 3psi in about 1min. It shut off at the set psi as advertised. I checked each pressure with a digital pressure gauge to ensure the pressure was correct. All 4 tires were exactly what the compressor said it was at. So far I am pretty impressed with the unit. Only complaint is that it is pretty tough to get the cord to fit back in the compartment it goes in. If you don’t get it all back in it won’t sit flat. I bought it for my daughter to use while away at college. Because it is so easy to use (set pressure and it auto stops). Seems to do exactly what I bought it for. ... show more

HAS to be plugged into the cigarette lighter AND have the engine running. Cord is also too short... unless of course, you're using it for a motorcycle that just so happens to be equipped with an cigarette lighter. I own a standard sized 4-door sedan and it barely reaches the rear tires. I'd recommend buying one that also has the ability to run off normal AC. Might cost a bit more, but the convenience is WELL worth it. ... show more

I used this 'compressor' today with my car. I used it so that each of my 4 tires had the same amount of air pressure, not because I had a flat. So each was inflated from 2 to 4 pounds. It started off on each tire with a sound that within a couple of seconds became a 'weaker', more strained sound. With all four tires, it did the job, in .5 psi increments. It took 4-6 minutes with each tire -- and each tire already had more than thirty lbs of pressure. I do not know how long it would take to inflate a tire that was flat, but I presume it would be a considerable time, and include breaks because of the 20 minute running limitation. Still, with plug set (no point in trying to inflate a tire with an unplugged leak) this could be a real help on the side of the road. Remember that the car must be running to provide enough power to the compressor. The device seems quite flimsy and is quite small. Making it big enough to more easily store the cord after use would be a very cheap improvement. Update: after finding that my spare tire was essentially flat, I used this device to inflate it. It worked well, so I can now report that it does work for jobs bigger than those I had used it for earlier. ... show more

Liked the way the product has been marketed on the Amazon website. Once ordered and received, apart from power cord length, didn't like anything that much. The motor doesn't start unless it is pressed multiple times. Kept on looking at the device multiple times frustratingly, wising next time it would start. The handle is cheap plastic. This tire pump was just OK. It's nice that it's digital and that you can set it to the tire pressure that you want. It's also very lightweight. However, it feels very cheaply made. Additionally, it's extremely loud. I've had similar pumps in the past, and they all tend to be loud to some degree, but this one is excessively loud. I ultimately decided to return it. ... show more

I have 4 four cars that I rotate around, so in the cold weather I'm dealing with low air pressure a lot. Finally decided to buy a unit rather than keep having to stop at the gas station. For the price, this works great! My only "complaint" is that it took almost 15 minutes to inflate 4 tires from 26 psi to 34 psi (including switching the unit to each tire, which was really easy). Even that wouldn't be that big a deal except I had to have the car running the whole time to power the unit, so a bit of gas wasted along the way. So, not the fastest unit in the world but once again for the price a really good deal. And the quick connect hookup is really nice - the main thing that compelled me to get a portable machine was a recent trip to the gas station where I could not get the connector to secure right and it ended up seriously deflating the tire. ... show more

I used this to pump up the tires on my 2014 Impala, they were between 25 and 27 psi and supposed to be at 35 psi. This little compressor pumped each up in less than 2 minutes and I didn't notice the compressor getting warm at all. The cord is long enough to reach each tire and I'm extremely happy with it's performance. I can't speak to the longevity of the product as I just got it but so far so good. A friend of mine has purchased several small compressors and told me to buy one that has metal parts which this does, the compressors I saw on Amazon that only would go to 100 psi looked like they probably had plastic parts so that's why I bought this one. ... show more
