No noise canceling but for me that was great. It already gets loud enough for you not to hear anything but if you do want to hear what people are saying around you then you can just turn the volume down a bit and boom, you can hear (unless you are deaf, then you were never able to hear). The sound quality is just E P I C. It connects easily and has a pretty decent mic on it (better than my regular one). Only problem I noticed was when I slightly bumped the mic connector it stopped working on any port for my pc. ... show more

Great sound and quality though the microphone can be sensitive but not terribly so but do not worry it is quite manageable over all and if you want complete sound cancellation capability you could order some Astro leather ear pieces to help keep the surround sound but if you kids if pet the cloth would be better to be able to hear them better. ... show more

Absolutely love the A40 model. 2017 model felt a little big, adjusters held great though so no problem. These are even more sturdy and fit perfectly. Only problem I have with these is for some reason the inline mute cable does not include the volume slider like the previous gen I had. Tried the new gen 4 A50’s before this, the surround sound feature makes a good echo or metallic echo of your voice. If you try the normal sound mode, sounds just like the A40’s minus the extra $150! The 2019 a40’s also comes with the 2 year activation code for Dolby digital. I’m uncertain if I can tell the difference because without it it still sounds really good. In a way, the volume sounds more “full” in the earpiece if you will, I guess that’s a given since it is supposed to be surround sound with Dolby digital on through Xbox settings. All in all 4 of 5 stars, if this included the volume slider on the inline cable it’d be perfect. It really is a shame it doesn’t include that. Edit: So after getting back in town and using them more, the top band cushion could be a little bit wider as in front to back. Not noticeable most of the time, some days my scalp is more sensitive than others and when it is it feels like the cushion is narrow and feels like a bar on my head. Still 4 of 5 stars though because a simple adjustment fixes it. ... show more

These things absolutely smash most other headphones out of the market. They’re comfortable, the sound immersion is awesome, and most of all you don’t have to charge them! Super crisp sound with a clear microphone. I highly recommend them.

Ive only had this headset for just under a month and havnt dropped it pulled it apart or anything and while I was playing games with my friends yesterday I moved it back on my head to adjust it and this screw fell out ive tried for at least 2 hours to place it back in but the cord the metal side piece is also loose and cant remain still because whatever glue was used already seperated. On top of this the hole where the screw would go is so small its almost impossible to fit it back in correctly and the screw itself has no match to any drivers I have making it even more difficult if id had been able to correctly fit it to tighten it. I am currently unable to wear this headset now without it slipping back on my head. I can only assume this was a manufacturing flaw because the headsets audio if completely fine there is no microphone cuts or echoing. I honestly cant believe this has already happened the last pair of A40s I owned lasted 7 years and this is unbelieveable. ... show more

The headset feels and heads great, when I have it on it’s so lightweight and breathable for my big head. The only real complaint I can come up with is the metal rods to adjust the size of the headset won’t stay fully extended to fit my big head, but even then it’s not something to worry about at all. ... show more
