If you are looking for a modern, stylish, and sharp knife set, the Astercook 15 Piece with Built-in Sharpener, High Carbon German Stainless Steel Knife Block Set is the way to go. I have collected numerous kitchen knives over the decades. I always loved Rada knives because they are light and super thin. The Astercook knives are also thin which I greatly prefer. I really dislike thick chunky knives and have found them to be difficult to chop with and to get nice thin cuts. The Astercook set is impressively sharp, thin, and lightweight making slicing, dicing, and chopping a breeze and a pleasure to use. I love the addition of the kitchen shears. I go through shears every 6 months. These are sharp and cut easily through meat. The design of the set is particularly attractive and fun. I love the whole look of the set. I generally hate having stuff sitting on my countertops, but this black block set is so nice that I like it on the counter. The knives have such a fun whimsical pattern. Even better, the price for such a nice set is a fantastic value. Overall, the Astercook set makes a great addition to any kitchen. The knives come packaged professionally making this a great gift option as well. Value for the price is fantastic. The set is high quality, looks great, and is highly affordable. A++!!

These are great knives, very sharp. I've been looking for something to replace the somewhat hodge podge of knives I've accumulated. These all match and fit nicely into a knife block. The block has a built in sharpener and it also comes with a pair of kitchen shears - a tool I use a lot. I never realized how dull my old knives were until I cut through an onion with these and had no resistance. The only part I'm not a huge fan of is the eighties-esque geographic print on the blades. I would have preferred a plain black blade, but it's not a deal breaker. I know they say dishwasher safe but I've been taking special care and handwashing them all in order to extend their length and sharpness.

We love this knife set, there is a knife for every need that we have in our kitchen. Each knife is very sharp and look great. The craftsmanship of each knife is beautifully executed with the feel of quality. The block is a beautiful black and matches our kitchen decor perfectly and bring out the design of the blade even more. The built-in sharpener is handy and works great to keep these knives sharp. The scissors work perfectly and are very sharp, the hinges of the scissors line up perfectly and close fully unlike many of the other knife sets that I have owned over the years. The built-in bottle opener on the scissors is very handy and works. I would recommend these knives to anyone of my family and friends.

Obviously the first thing I was drawn to was the design - you can take the girl out of the 90's but you can't take the 90's outta the girl, amiright?? And sadly, I've been needing to replace most of my kitchen knives since, well... almost the 90's =| I'm loving this set so far, for way more than just the pattern: the smooth cuts, light weight, sturdy base that includes a knife sharpener. Obviously I have nothing but good things to say; I highly recommend!
