  • Board was bad
I bought this board thinking I was getting a good deal. I was wrong. The board would not post. I trouble shooter the board to make sure I had set everything up right. Nothing worked. Ended up having to return the board. It would have been a good deal for 99.00 but it did not work.

  • Will never buy anything from Asrock again
the board is decent but this company is annoying . The motherboard utility doesnt install even though its their link and for the right board. They have a forum post full of people with the problem and they dont have an answer. The Polychorm RGB is dumb because whats the use of having it if non of the top fan makers make compatible fans for it. You either stuck with CoolMasters or you have to use some crazy off brand too cool your PC because you want RGB. You are saving minimal using asrock instead of Asus or MSI who are better all around. I wont be making this mistake again ... show more

  • Firmware cannot be updated, and random Win bluescreens
I assumed I was only having problems with the GPU I chose for this build, but it turns out this system will hard-lock and/or bluescreen at least once per week even if it hasn't been used. Updating the mobo firmware was the obvious first step: But the Windows tools fail, and even the flash updater fiels because it's looking for the wrong filenames. I.e., the stock 1.10 firmware will not detect the file for 1.20 through 1.40 as a correct match. Doesn't matter what you do -- you cannot upgrade this mobo's firmware. ASRock's "submit Support request" page cancels your input and submits no email, no ticket, nothing. Utterly broken. I bought mine from another tech store, but I wanted to warn others -- avoid ASRock, or the Cyberpower/iBuyPower rebranded mobos they also produce. Once you get this, you're stuck. ... show more
