  • It’s a motherboard and does all the needed motherboard things
Style: B650M PG Lightning
Good support for processors and does what a motherboard needs to do. Zero problems.

  • Good budget motherboard!
Style: B650M PG Lightning
Motherboard works as it should it is shipped with no bios updated so I would suggest you update the bios as it's more than a year old or so.... Second after updating bios make sure you reset the cmos because I had terrible instability after bios update but after resetting the cmos everything runs smoothly and boots pretty dam fast into windows. Lastly I would suggest using expo ddr5 only I know some kits say Intel xmp and expo but my 1st kit was silicon power that had both profiles but it wasn't stable. I now use G skill trident Z 6000 CL30 very fast and very stable with my 7600x and ASRock motherboard. Most people forget to reset cmos after a big bios update but it's simple on this motherboard since it has the pins made for that cmos reset. I would definitely recommend this motherboard. ... show more

  • Good product at a good price Good product at a good price

I bought this board the B650 PG (not the wifi version) to be used with a Ryzen 5 8500g, the board is perfect compatible with it, however you should update the Bios which is not hard but I'd recommend you yo read carefully the manual. On the other hand I didn't like that the Bios button wasn't joined yo the board, I mean the plastic piece not the part in the board. So far so good product, after updating the Bios everything has been alright. I liked the those 4 ram slots, definitely is a good board for a budget setup and maybe a little bit more thinking in the future ... show more

  • A simple board that just works.
Style: B650M PG Lightning
Traded in an asus gaming board which fried itself in a myriad of power outages. Had many issues with it prior because of the on board wifi and other "Gaming" accessories. All my previous gaming rigs used barebone motherboards without issue. The one time I change it happens to be the most expensive misstep of my gaming life. Do yourself a favor and try to build simpler. Less issues less aggravation, more hair on the top of your head. ... show more

  • Middling Edit: Horrible Board
Style: B650M PG Lightning
This thing has been a bit temperamental BIOS updates are always a crap shoot sometimes they are successful sometimes it just goes blank for a while then will come back after a reboot then flash correctly the second time. Chipset drivers have been a nightmare this could be an issue with AMD or AsRock but they keep getting corrupted at random when this happens, I can always tell because the BIOS actually hangs longer than normal on boot. Edit: This has been the worst board I have ever dealt with I thought I was fighting coil whine from my GPU turs out it was the VRMs on the board I also thought I had a flop of a CPU that was barely stable at stock settings using EXPO profiles on my RAM kit that is on the QVL list. Constantly crashed reinstalling the chipset drivers would fix it for a few days but if the CPU/GPU were put under a moderate to heavy load the computer would crash. I moved to an Asus 850 board and all of the strange gremlin symptoms went away instantly did not even bother to reinstall windows and have not had any crashing with a pretty heavy overclock and undervolt on both the CPU and GPU. This is the second AsRock board that I have owned that had strange grounding issues that caused noise to be generated (coil whine) on any device plugged into the same circuit that has speakers. I will in the future stay far away from AsRock products. ... show more

  • A bit small
Style: B650M PG Lightning
Call this 4.5 stars. Half a star off because the space between the CPU slot and RAM slots is a bit too tight for the Thermalright Peerless Assassin fan I had in my old ASRock B650 PG Riptide. So I had to order a new fan with a more upright profile. Other than that, this board is great. Install was easy and it posted the RAM in much less time than expected. Also recognized my multiple SSD drives without the "connect each drive one at a time" issues I had with the other Mobo. I didn't get the wifi version because I prefer ethernet connection, ... show more
