  • Very well-made at a bargain price
Color: Blue
I wanted to pick up my guitar playing skills again but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new guitar. While browsing amazon, I saw this one (I got the blue one) and really fell in love with the looks. I ordered it, thinking that for the price, it was well worth trying it out. Am I glad I did! It has excellent sound, it is full-sized, sturdy, very attractive and easy to play despite the steel strings. I would really recommend this guitar for anyone wanting a good, inexpensive guitar just to have fun with it. ... show more

  • Gorgeous Guitar....
Color: Black
...such a shiny guitar...lovely glossy black finish...beautiful rich tones...held tune for many days...was easily tuned with an electronic tuner...action is kinda high, so this newbie could only practice 20 minutes before the metal strings got the better of me. I wanted to keep this guitar because it's versatile being electric also....and a cutaway design with I loved. But it's a full-sized guitar and I am 5'1" with shorter fingers...so for petite player like myself, this was way too much guitar for me...it was heavy to hold and hard to balance while sitting. But the cutaway design is beautiful...the wood, resonant....only fret buzz came because I couldn't press the strings hard enough, but when I did, gorgeous tone. But I'm repeating myself. It's a great deal for a better-than-good beginning guitar...definitely not a toy. BUT I needed to have a slimmer neck, so I returned the guitar with regret. ... show more

  • Real deal here
Color: Brown
UPADATED : This is my second such acoustic purchased from this brand. I am very impressed. On both of these I had to file the fret ends down , not a big deal , I own a file kit and learned how to do it. That took 10 minute. I put extra light flat top strings on it , basically 10 gauge . This guitar had very high actiin until I sanded the bridge down ,the other guitar I bought had medium - high action. Being an acoustic , I don't need very low action. I can tell you for an almost fact that these have real spruce tops. After almost a year with my first one it still sounded as good as it did when I put new strings on it. I gave my original away to my daughter who decided to take up guitar. I only have one minor issue with this new one. There is a slight rattle coming from somewhere . I'm guessing its a loose piece of hardware like a tuner nut being loose or something else.,later I found it was that the battery compartment door was not shut properly , PROBLEM SOLVED . Overall these guitars are great , I would say with the hard woods used , the body and neck binding and the electronics added that these are comparable to brand name guitars that run into the $500 and up range. I have been playing for close to 40 years , I know what I'm talking about . I also have done numerous guitar setups and repairs. I know guitars . If you are in the market for an acoustic , you would be a fool not buy this one. Just keep in mind the fret ends will have to be worked on. A kit cost $10 and it's easy to do if watch a video on it and are very carefull. If not a Luther would charge around $25 to do it. Good luck. Remember even the more expensive guitars can have the fret ends issue. ... show more

  • Its worth every dollar
Color: Black
Looks can be decieving but this one is for real. However even paradise has a rough spot or two. Frets needed a little work. Action good right out of box. Strings suck so replace.

  • great for the price!!!
Color: Black
for the money, it's great, it's not top of the line by any means, but this will last long enough to know if my son will stay with it or if it's just another "try" on something different. I've been playing guitar for 35 years, not bad sound for the buck...

  • Awsome
Color: Sunburst
I’m sooo excited about my ashthorpe acoustic electric dreadnought cut away guitar. It came sooner than expected and uponunwraping it I could see the quality and upon playing it I could here the clear rich tones of this guitar. My wife heard me playing it and exclaimed” tone it down, it’s too loud”. Love it! I plugged it into my amp and wow it’s great! I am a professional musician, singer and and performer. I will use this guitar when I gig. It will be a part of my best collections. It’s right there with my fenders, gibsons and Ibanez guitars. Thank you for this product. I’m glad I got mine before they get recognized and the price goes up. ... show more

  • Nice Beginner Guitar
Color: Black
My guitar and accessories arrived in perfect condition. I got mine in black and she's a beauty. I changed the strings but regret not changing the tuners as well. The tuners aren't the best and some are loose and won't stay tightened making it tricky keep some strings in tune. So keep that in mind. Other than that, no complaints. I'm very happy with my guitar overall. ... show more

  • A great deal for the price!
Color: Black
This cutaway electric-acoustic guitar arrived safely and undamaged. For $91 it's hard to beat a guitar that's playable, attractive, and with electronics that sound pretty decent. I need to shave the bridge a bit, smooth the fret edges a bit, and do a few other minor things but this is a guitar that will be fun to play that I won't worry about getting scarred or damaged. A great value in my opinion! ... show more
