I have an amazing stainless steel set of Emeril Lagasse pots and pans. I have had them for more than 15 years, and I absolutely love my set. However, I have since changed my eating habits and gone mostly vegan with a little fish now and then. The stainless steel pans are not for cooking tender vegetables and sauces. Especially not tofu. They stick to the pan like crazy. So when I saw this Carote set, I was intrigued. I did a little research, watched some videos on YouTube and thought, I definitely want to give this try. Looked it up on Amazon and what do you know, not only was it on sale but it also had a $50 off coupon so I snatched it up right away. It’s one of the best investments I’ve made lately. Tonight I made palak tofu and it was such a dream to cook. Absolutely no stick whatsoever and cooking it on medium heat was quite nice. I thought it would take forever to cook, but it actually didn’t. The food came out amazing and clean up? it was a breeze! I have never had such an easy time cleaning the pan before. I love this set and I highly recommend it. Just know that this set is for low to medium heat cooking. Also, even though it is nonstick, don’t do like some of the people I saw on YouTube and just put an egg in the pan dry heat, and expected not to stick. They did a little bit of scraping to get it to move, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that. A very very light spray of a nonstick spray or just a little butter on the bottom and that’s all you need. Oh, and the only drawback I would say would be the grill pan, it’s much bigger than the heating element on the bottom. So food will only really cook in that in the middle. If you have any food that is off to the sides in the corners, it won’t cook over there. If you’re cooking something and you want to push something in those corners to stay warm, while you are cooking something else then you’ll be good. I bought these on Amazon Prime Day. I love these. There are lighter, easy to handle, very non stick. Only 2 tops fit all the pans. The tops are edged in rubber/silicon - something- but they fit on air tight. And again quiet and soft. It may seem like a small thing that I keep mentioning quiet but imagine the difference between soft close cabinets and regular cabinets. It just feels better. I like looking at them - they are so pretty. I leave the frying pan out it is so nice. Since the pans are white, I see the burning of foods before they get caramelized and stain the pan. Once the pan stained even after I cleaned it as I left it on to long. I sprayed bleach and the stain came out. Since the pans are ceramic and light , it is pretty surprising that they work on induction cooktops. ... show more

Love love LOVE everything about this set! Heats amazingly, cleans like a breeze and ascetically perfection. Will be adding more into the collection. This set has all basic cooking needs. I’ve only used silicone on it and nothing sticks also heat distribution is obvious.

I was hoping these would be a good replacement for my non-stick pots and pans that are old and worn. Well, these pots and pans have surpassed my expectations. I use them every day - tossed out a whole set of destroyed pots and pans and even my old wok - and I use this set for nearly everything! These pots are extremely cute and have not stained on me after cooking very stainable things lol. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the big pot does not have any protection on the handles. So, you can’t really touch them/pick it up after it’s been on the stove because the handles get too hot.
