We bought these for three pendant hanging lights over our dining room table. These bulbs have a nice warm color, cool vintage appearance, and are the expected brightness for 60 watt equivalents. They dim nicely for LED bulbs. We ended up returning these for 100 watt equivalents because my wife wanted something a little brighter. These bulbs however were plenty bright, and the 100 watt equivalents are noticeably brighter, but not dramatically so. ... show more

I updated my flush mount ceiling lights with fixtures that show the bulbs. These look really nice. Two of these are really bright, so I might actually get the same ones in a lower brightness next time, however they are rated to last five+ years, so that might be a long time off.

    • Perfect balance of a vintage look and modern light
I highly recommend these. I've tried a few different Edison-style bulbs and I think these Ascher 2700K bulbs are the best balance. They are the LED version of the classic Edison bulb, but they have clear glass so the light they give off is more like a modern incandescent bulb (or a good LED bulb) and I really appreciate that. I've tried some Edison bulbs that have tinted "amber" glass, but it ends up making the whole room look a little yellow - sometimes a lot yellow. One made it look like I put those yellow bug lights inside. These aren't like that at all. They have clear glass so the color of the light is what you would expect. They say it has a 95+ CRI (Color Rendering Index) so it's very true to the actual color of things - probably more than most regular light bulbs. It's also brighter than many of the LED Edison bulbs I've tried - I have some that are 600 lumens and these are 700 lumens. But they're dimmable, so if that's too bright, just turn down the dimmer and they will get dimmer than most LED light bulbs. On top of that, it's a great price for 6 of these! If you're looking for the real low light like some restaurants have and want a bit of a yellow color, than look at other options, but if you want the vintage look of an Edison bulb but light that makes your room look like you expect it to, than I highly recommend these bulbs. ... show more

These bulbs lasted less than 3 yrs, only used in a bathroom fixture about and hour per day. Package says will last 18 years with 3hrs per day usage. Very disappointed in them. When they worked they were great, bright daylight, but they started to flicker badly. I do NOT recommend since they flicker too soon and short life span. ... show more

I got these for the back patio so I could relax out there at night. For a housing complex, they're too bright and will disturb your neighbours. I plugged these in and was instantly reminded of that scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (if you've seen the movie, you'll get the reference). I got a complaint from the housing authority. BUT, if you live in a house and your neighbours are far away, these things would be GREAT to light up a patio or a deck or a pool deck.
