Yep, there is a tool tray for the extra's and yep it's short enough to allow your buffer to store without much disassembly, just pull the pad. This box is solid. This one's my second, the first one I bought at the hardware store about 2 years ago for about the same price. I'm not sure the recommended weight rating, I'm sure it's in the description but mines pushing 70lbs. The things a tank for sure. This one I just received feels and looks every bit as solid as the first. There identical. I used this for an all in 1 chainsaw box for my 194t with a 14” bar. Even built a little holder to keep it from rolling around during transport. May be able to fit a 16” bar but I’m not sure.

It holds the 12 inch 20 volt dewalt chainsaw perfectly. Plenty of extra room for the extras: quart of oil extra chains and batteries and charger. Only downside is the tray does not fit with the chainsaw.

These are made under the brands DEWALT, STANLEY, BOSTITCH all are the same, they are waterproof sturdy and are corrosion proof. I use these for special tools like painting, drywall thing is awesome. Only issue is I wish they cost less !!! I own 6 so far!

It is big and sturdy. It takes a little bit of muscle to snap the latches closed. The tray is 2/3 length of the box interior, but it stays in place without any sliding or shifting. The extra open space is a positive in order to accommodate larger items.
