Solid entry keyboard Biggest gripe with it is the key size. This is intended for on-the-go, so this design choice makes sense. If you don't care for portability, I would find a slightly larger one so it matches a standard keyboard. It was pretty plug and play. It worked with FL Studio easily.

The keys are a bit stiff, like most keyboards this size, but i like that switching octaves and switching MIDI channels are easy, which is perfect if you're mucking around in DAWs. I'm very happy with this little guy. I didn't buy it with any illusions that it would be part of a pro studio. I just enjoy making music in my home office as a hobby and wanted a simple keyboard controller for it. The build quality is quite good for its price point, and the keys, while not feeling like a Steinway concert grand, actually feel pretty good. Perfect small midi keyboard for my use case. Keys feel good. Not fully weighted, but a few reviewers on YouTube who did extensive comparisons noted Arturia’s are the best you’ll find out of the options at this price point.

I only needed a stripped down keyboard for Garageband. This keyboard fit the bill. It seems well built and does what it is supposed to, so I waited to review it until I actually used it to record something. So now that I got the job done, here are my dings: 1. Action - though it feels solid, is a bit too heavy. The springs are too stiff, which makes fast play more difficult. 2. OK, I knew 2 octaves was a short keyboard. But I wish the keyboard would indicate which 2 octaves are active. It is a pain to record a sample note, then go into GB for it to tell if it was set correctly. So, do I regret the purchase? No. Would I buy it again? Maybe … but I would check out other brands in a store first for how they play ... show more
