Bought two of these after losing an enormous shade tree, which left my west facing living room and office windows exposed to the afternoon sun, causing each to heat up faster than the AC could counter even with the interior blinds shut. Overall, a good value and easy to assemble (I used and paused the video at each step, which was really helpful). As others have mentioned, there's not a set screw joining the two bottom pole sections, which makes for a somewhat flimsy union. The joint is dimpled and directional, but that's neither adequate nor obvious. I ended up installing a low-profile set screw on the pole junction of each of the two blinds I installed. There was still room in the fabric opening to slide the pole in after the screw was installed. I also installed the same style set screws in each of the plugs that the elastic bands are attached to, since I installed their receiver cups at a 45 vs. a 90-degree angle, which caused them to pull out of the pole a couple of times when stretching to reach the cup. Additionally, I slid a 7' length of 3/8" threaded rod into each pole to give the bottom more heft. Even before adding that extra weight to the bottom pole, I noticed the top pole had some flex to it, which creates a slight droop in the middle. Possibly this could be resolved ...somehow... but it's not causing any issues, so at this point I'm not going to worry about it. On the 8' wide screen, the entire assembly is 8' (96"), whereas the screening material itself is 92" wide. This didn't affect my install, but it should be noted. The crank mechanism works well, but is slow going, so I cut off the handle of one of the cranks I received in order to attach a dedicated cheap drill to it. This works really well with the drill set to slow speed. Reorienting the crank mechanism and the other side's hanger may be required for the chosen screen orientation and requires two different sized Phillips screw drivers (a #1 & #2). Pretty easy to do and is covered in the video. Have had several warm sunny days since installing and the difference has been huge, temperature wise. There's also a pleasant dimming effect to each rooms lighting that's tinted by the color of the shades. So, very pleased with function and price, and aware they might be damaged by high winds at some point if I forget or am unable to roll them up ahead of time, but it'll be an easy and economical swap if and when that happens.

Excellent sunscreen super easy in install requires two people possibly for the longer version. If you’re skilled, you can figure out how to do it by yourself. Pay attention to the directions as some of the parts require step-by-step without repeating the steps. Holds up to heavy winds and seems to be very strong material no holes after three months with super high winds.

Super easy to set up. The video instruction on the main page was easy to follow. It does exactly as described on the page. I bought two of them and the temperature in the rooms they are covering dropped significantly. I will be buying this again if I find more areas of the house to cover up.

We purchased two of these shades for our back patio. The instructions were organized but not clear. The hardware was arranged by step, so it was easy to find and apply. The only drawback is that the instructions don’t make it clear how to position the handle, to the left side. It defaults to the right. The shades function well and the color looks just like the picture on Amazon. These definitely keep the sun out of our eyes in the mornings.
