I cannot get this rug to lie flat!! It’s been 3 weeks and I’ve tried reverse rolling, heavy books, used a damp towel and ironed....nothing. There are waves throughout most of this 8x10 rug. This rug came wavy as heck, waves are not coming out, we tried reverse rolling and were gonna steam clean but thought twice about this and decided to just retun it, this was a disappointment. Great value for the money! I purchased this because I believe a room is t complete without a rug. That being said I also have a little fur baby that feels the need to pee on the new rug after about a week of it arriving. It’s a constant battle so I don’t waste my time spending on fortune on rugs ( because a good one is very expensive). So when I see a cute rug like this for this price I’m always skeptical about how the quality is going to be. Well I love it. It’s so beautiful. Sad and disappointed to say the least! I know the seller can not help that my rug arrived literally SOAKING WET but I have been trying to dry this rug and get it to lay flat for HOURS! I bought this rug because the print was understated and not glaring, and the price is right. It does have a slight musty odor when you take it out of its plastic wrap however. We let it air out on our back porch for two days, then sprayed it with natural citrus air freshener, and then placed it under the master bedroom bed. It fits nicely under there (queen size) and now the dog has something soft to lay on at night too when she stretches out over her doggie bed and needs something soft for the part of her that sticks out.     • Chemical odor is unpleasant

This is not a very thick rug. It’s much thinner than other area rugs I have. That’s okay, I expected it. The colors are perfect, and the size is accurate. I got the teal, 7x10. The only thing that bothers me is the smell. It’s not noticeable after you have been around it for it a while, it if you leave the house, then return, it’s very noticeable. Very chemical. I like the rug, so I am going to try some deodorizer to fix it. I always feel you get what you pay for. The rug was under $175, so I didn’t expect a whole lot. I will stick with buying Safavieh rugs in the future. They really are better and equally priced. UPDATE: This has turned out to be a really nice rug. The deodorizer worked well and no more smell.
