This is a nice sewing kit for this price. It's easily portable, easy to open and has everything you'd need in a sewing emergency. The thread feels cheap as does almost everything else in the kit. Even the plastic feels like cheap plastic. However for this price point, the kit performs as it's supposed to.

This is a great basic sewing kit. It is light, portable, well-organized (unlike the messy chaotic sewing box I was using), and has all the essentials, plus the variety of thread colors is invaluable for when you need to make repairs as invisible as possible. The pins are great for larger projects (the pinheads are a little big, so if you’re doing small delicate project you may want a different pin set). The crochet hook and yarn needle are bonuses I wouldn’t have even thought to look for, but they are awesome if you need to make repairs to a knitted garment like a sweater or scarf. I’m currently working on a skirt with an elastic waistband, and I realized the yarn needle is perfect for pulling the elastic through. I would recommend this either as an emergency sewing kit to keep in your car (such as for when your pants rip and you don’t have time to go back home to change), OR as a basic starter kit if you’re getting into hand sewing. Honestly I can’t think of anything I would need for even a major hand sewing project that isn’t in this kit. For the price, it’s an amazing value!

The Sewing Kit for Adults and Beginners is an absolute gem! It comes with everything you need for sewing projects, neatly organized in a portable case. From needles and threads to scissors, thimble, and tape measure, this kit has it all. I’m particularly impressed by the variety of thread colors included; there’s a shade for every occasion! While everything else is top-notch, I have to admit the scissors are a bit dull. Nonetheless, with such a comprehensive kit, it’s a minor inconvenience. Whether you’re a seasoned seamstress or just starting out, this kit will meet all your sewing needs. Highly recommended!

I got the standard kit.. This is a decent emergency kit, for say, the trunk or something.. and that is exactly what I got it for.. But just note, there are some key items missing that you may want to add to it.. There is no tweezers.. Nor is there a pin cushion.. They do have some small safety pins, but these are only about 1" long, from tip to tip.. That means, it is only about 3/4" in the opening.. This will be too small for a lot of things.. and there are no snaps either. One thing to note.. Do NOT expect all the stuff in the listing to be in there.. If you scroll down on the page, they describe each thing individually that is in the set.. They show snaps and extra pins in a plastic tube.. They are NOT in this set, so why they have them there, I have no idea. They also state "over 100 items".. I count 94 items.. 24 thread, 30 needles, 18 pins, 10 pin pack (4 buttons, 5 safety pins and 1 threader).. Then you have 12 more items (crochet hook, pencil, seam ripper, large needle, measuring tape, 4 clips, scissors, thimble and magnifying glass).. Even if you count the case, that still is only 95 items.. The thread is a mid strength thread.. I can break it with my hands (yes, there are some that I can not), but at the same time, it does take some decent pressure to break it.. At least it is not very easy to break, like some other threads that I have seen in the past.. I would give the thread in this about a 5 out of 10.. As you can see, the setup is different then what is advertised.. The safety pins, buttons, and threader are all in the same little plastic bag.. One thing that made me question the setup of this is.. They have a crochet hook, but no tweezers?? That one has me baffled.. But I can not take away stars for this because.. Well, they never said that one came in the kit.. It just makes me wonder.. Why?? Overall, for the price.. at just about $6, I have no problem putting the extra stuff in there that I want in there, like the tweezers.. But to be fair.. Even if they did come with some, they would probably not be very good quality and I would end up getting a better pair for in there anyways.. I dropped 2 stars for the above reasons.. They show pictures of extras that are not in there, in both, the listing, and in the pictures on the top left side of the item.. They also state that there is over 100 items, and there is not, even if you include the bags around the magnifying glass and tape measure, which are just to protect it during shipping, you still will not come up with over 100.. They really need to fix their page to be more honest and accurate.. I saved their picture of what I was talking about and put it in there for you to see what I mean.
