Aside from (lack of) shipping speed for a Prime product (this took WEEKS), I'm so happy I waited. This chair is easy to assemble (luckily b/c the instructions suck) and seems to be well-made in the few days I've used it. It is perfect height for my desk and I LOVE the swivel aspect. I purchased the "leather" and wool. It is a faux suede (and not a good one) and microfiber(ish) wool thing, but it looks nice, it is comfortable and has arm rests, and the cat enjoys it too. The minus one star is for the incredibly persistent "new chair smell". It's not noxiously chemical, but it's chemical and I can smell it from the doorway (10 feet away). In my mid-century house the style is perfect, and it's more than functional, so 4 stars.

This was my sexy fun “pop of color” spurge piece for my bedroom office! Mosh t my decor is silver greys and dark greys, but as an author and student having my own little office space is important…. And this was my spurge! Stupid easy to assemble. Excellent quality. Sometimes have to fight cat for use, but that’s ok…. I LOVE the color! More expensive than any other singular piece I’ve bought (besides dine set but to be fair, that was also 5 pieces and a splurge…) I simply love it! It’s retro design is timeless and I can comfortably write for hours….!

how do I get rid of the chemical smell? any ideas! I've washed with vinegar/water and have set outside to air out. Smell is still very strong. Otherwise, I like the chairs!!

I wanted to use the chair for a little while before writing a review, and now that it’s been 3 weeks I figured I’d finally do it! I work from home and sit in this chair for 6 - 10hrs a day, even using it often on the weekends. SHORT VERSION: Overall, this chair was a great purchase (so far) and I am really happy with it. It’s cute, seems to be of good quality, and has been a really great addition to my home. LONG VERSION: First off, this chair is very cute and I am super pleased with the quality. I’m pretty sure the legs are real wood! I spent a LONG time trying to find a chair for my desk. I wanted something cute and comfortable because I work from home and sit at my desk all day. There is some sagging in the fabric after 3 weeks of daily use, so I am uncertain of how long it will look nice, but overall I am pleased. DELIVERY: I ordered this chair on May 20th and received it on the 28th! It came in great condition with no issues. Very easy and quick to assemble. It DID smell weird when I first got it. I started using it immediately but had to stop bc it was distracting. I left it near an open window in my bedroom for the day and then sprayed it with a little bit of linen freshener and it’s now fine. QUALITY: This chair seems to be really good quality for the price. The legs appear to be real wood, and there are no inconsistencies or blemishes in the fabric. However, sometimes I do hear a noise that sounds like the fabric glue is coming apart when I’m sitting in it? I can never see any damage, but it does seem like the fabric is starting to sag in some spots already. I am a little worried about long-term use, but after 3 weeks of daily use, it still looks great. SIZE: I was most worried about the size of this chair because other reviews mentioned it was a little small/narrow. I was surprised at how wide it actually is! It’s more of a scooped seat than the images on the listing show, so there’s plenty of room for me. I am 5’6”, 140lbs, a size 6 - 8 in women’s clothing, with 35ish inch hips (40ish at my widest point around my butt) and I have quite a bit of room in this chair. I don’t know if I’d sit cross-legged just bc I don’t wanna test the quality that much, but I can sit with one leg up easily. When I am sitting all the way to the back, my heels just barely rest on the floor. The back of the chair goes to my mid-back below my shoulder blades. COMFORT: This chair is definitely not super cushy, but I personally like the stability and sturdiness of the cushion. I feel like, for a cheap chair, it’s better to have a sturdier foam than a soft foam that will sag. It feels like it might last longer than a softer chair might. The back is angled a bit so it does force you to lean back to use the backrest if you’re sitting all the way back in the chair. I sit like an idiot though, slumped at the front of the chair, so it’s not a huge issue for me. I use it every day and only have issues if I am sitting weird for too long.
