I wish you could control the power level and make it a little stronger. Another thing is that even when you have the drill part secured tightly, the needle will shift a little when you press it into certain materials which is a real bummer.

I work with polymer clay and it drills through it like butter. The reason for the four star rating is the drill press is a bit sticky and does not slide as smoothly as I would like. All in all I am happy with the way it works. It makes drilling into round pieces much easier.

    • Well designed, but lacking the power I needed

Really wanted to love this little drill - it’s quite well built and aesthetically designed. However, it does not seem to have enough strength to cut through what I needed - specifically, 1.4mm dual-sided copper clad FR4 material. After about 2 minutes of firm pressing I was able to penetrate the first layer and drill a .6mm hole through almost to the other end, but it did not seem to be able to get through the second layer. Unfortunately this makes it essentially useless for me, though it does look nice on the desk. Giving four stars as it never really claimed to be able to cut through copper. Sadly, I’ll be returning mine for a more robust small form factor drill press. I’m sure this would do well for other (softer) materials, though. ... show more

I couldn’t get them through crystals but I may try again. When I needed to drill some black eyed peas though, this was perfect. I prefer this over pin vises and it drills neatly.

Don't waste your money. I do boat modelling and wanted something small to drill brass strips , Instead of my bench top delta. The chuck does not run true. I didn't dare to try out the small drill bit. It would definitely have broken. I tried the 0.8 mm bit . Could not drill into bass wood ! The motor assembly does not slide down the guide shafts very easily. Net net . Chuck run out unacceptable. Drill bits useless. What's worse the chuck will only accept their proprietary bits. The bench press is awkward to use. I have to admit it , its very nicely made and packaged, but that's about it. Another adornment in the shop. What really had me upset is obviously they have zero quality control. The very basics have been over looked. A complete waste of money. Update June 25th 2023 Miami On receipt of my complaint , the seller replaced the unit free of cost. On checking it , find it runs true and will serve my purpose of drilling thin strips brass. I used this small, very cool drill for hanging expensive paintings in my den. I have about 18 paintings by a very popular artist and I get them all on canvas stretched on wooden boards. This makes the job that is my part (applying special hardware) quite simple. I was very impressed with the ease that this small drill made for me that I just ordered the special 'large' one with a miniature drill press. This is great for hobbies, jewelry making, and anything that you may have that demands a very small and easy to operate drill.     • Short Comings

The Arrowmax 12 in one kit is laid out very nice but the drill itself could use some improvement. I was able to drill through 1/4” plywood in a few steps by first drilling a small, then medium and finally the bit for the required. I wouldn’t have had the clearance with any other drill so it was worth the effort. The drill stalled a few times so the reverse came in handy. The included bits seem a bit dull which further taxes the drilling speed. My other micro bits are sharper but can’t be used because of the 3/32” chuck limitation. I’m hoping to eventually find a fully adjustable chuck with a 3/32 shank since switchable collets are not an option (hint Arrowmax). Another valuable feature would be a speed option especially for working with plastics which are prone to melting. I’m only giving it 3 stars due to these limitations. I am keeping the drill because there are situations where it is useful. The battery charges and the duration are good. The battery and direction LEDs are great as are the 4 in the nose. The drill isn’t perfect but I wouldn’t call it useless. ... show more

I have been looking for a small cordless drill that I can get into tight spaces when drilling tiny tiny holes. Easy to hold in your hand and maneuver where you need it. Pros… Size. Holds a good charge. Doesn’t bog down when drilling holes. Feels good, and not too bulky in your hand. Comes with a good variety of drill bits. Cons… None. ... show more

I charged this drill & it isn’t performing as expected for the price. It barely has power to go through cardboard and it broke when drilling an inexpensive planter. I was drilling straight through the sides at a 90 degree angle from the ground for water holes. I tried different methods. I don’t recommend it with the drill I received and it was fully charged when I used the drill. I finished my project but it took long than expected because the drill bits kept coming off plus the back of the handle pops off with any pressure and it doesn’t have anything to secure to.
