If all the features this lock offers were more easily utilized I would give it at least 4 stars and possibly 5, as having keypad access is very convenient. I studied the enclosed “Operating Manual” booklet and found the directions confusing and/or wrong, but there are QR codes in the booklet to watch installation and operating videos. Except that all the QR codes went to dead links, and still do. I was fortunately getting a new door when I purchased this and the door installer knew how to install this - I had never installed a lock myself. I found videos on YouTube for a similar-looking model, but not all the instructions worked on this lock. A few days after the lock was on my door the videos for THIS model were finally added to YouTube. But not for everything. There still are no directions for how to delete passcodes, nor can I find a way to do that on the app. There IS a temporary password feature on the app which could possibly substitute, but I haven’t tested it yet. I was unable to connect the lock with the Tuya Smart app until it occurred to me that it might need my wi-fi to be on 2.4 as opposed to 5g, as that had been the case for other “smart” items I have. I’m taking a break from my struggles with getting it all to work before I tackle the temporary password feature. Lastly, I followed the directions for how to activate the fingerprint reader feature and it worked about four times but then suddenly stopped working. Neither the original working fingerprint or the two I’ve entered since then work, although they all show up on the app. The numerical codes are all working, but there are still several settings on the app that I can’t decipher. I may boost the stars in this review if I receive more info on how to get everything working, but until then I have to downrate a little since I’m not getting what’s promised. UPDATE: I researched the temporary password feature and learned that once you hit the icon it copies a temporary password to your phone so you can text or email it to someone. I didn't find a way to change the duration that it works, which is only 5 minutes. There is another option that can set a longer time, but when I sent it to myself on a different email it required me to download the app to get the passcode. Since I still don't know how to delete passcodes, I can't share a normal passcode for longer and then delete it. This company really needs to invest in better instructions and videos. I like the keypad feature (fingerprint is still not working) but if I were writing this review now I'd give it ONE star, as now I don't trust the keypad to be reliable. And there is no tech support on this lock that I can find.

The media could not be loaded. .. and trust me, I’ve bought many different brands and types over the years. The previous locks weren’t bad but each one seemed to be missing one key thing, which was different on every one I had bought in the past. This is the first one I have installed which I felt finally checked all the boxes I needed. The fingerprint feature was not a necessity for me, although now that I have the option, I find I use it the most. Keypad programming was super easy and the keypad is very responsive and accurate. I like the physical button to push on this lock vs. touchscreen buttons on some other models, as I find the touchscreen type create more entry mistakes and I have experience with both. The keys are responsive and having entered the code on many uses now, I haven’t had enter it twice due to any entry error. On the interior side of the unit, you have the option to push a single button to lock or unlock rather than having to rotate the physical dial, which wasn’t a big deal to me until I had this option, now the button is the only thing I use. On the smart side of things - this uses the “Tuya” app, which is great for me because I already use Tuya for a few other smart items I have. I like the app, it’s easy to use and setup items and this lock was no different. I had it added to the app and was actively using it within minutes. A nice feature of the app portion is that it maintains a log of each time the lock is opened and closed. This could be beneficial if you have teenagers, or even for a short-term rental unit so you can know when they have checked in and checked out. This deadbolt style lock also comes with two physical keys, which is nice to have in case of dead battery or any situation that may restrict the digital and smart features. Quality- seems solid and each side of the lock (both interior and exterior) have a rubber gasket that resides between the unit and the door, creating a nice barrier against rain. I plan on buying more of these locks in the future and if you need a keypad smart lock, this one offers plenty of options that would benefit many different applications.

I've installed several of these units, most of them name brands. This one easily equals or even surpasses the others. The quality of the materials, precision of fit and even overly detailed instructions are welcome. I prefer the real keys on a lock of this type rather than a touchpad. Having the lock talk to me was a new experience. The app works fine. I've never found bluetooth to be very effective for locking and unlocking. This lock is no exception. It is good for setting up the various options and additional users One tiny quibble. The lock is black. The cover plate for the door jamb is chrome. Given that spare hardware was included it would have been nice to have included a black one as well. All told, would definitely do it again! UPDATE: A couple of days after installation I went to unlock the door. As I pressed the buttons the backlights lit up but none of the controls would work. The fingerprint, lock, unlock--none of it worked. I got the key, pulled the cover on the battery and removed on of them, immediately putting it back in. This produced a beep and all the previously stored programming was present and the lock worked normally. I was hoping this was a one shot deal. But this morning I went out and the same scenario happened. Kind of makes the electronics unnecessary as you have to resort to the key.
