Love this little rice cooker. I use it for rice and quinoa. It's simple, and works great. Have your grains ready in 20 min. To those complaining that it's not non-stick, it's stainless steel. So it's not teflon, nor ceramic. Yes there's a bit of cooked rice at the bottom. But I soak it in soapy water for 15 min and it comes right off. Really not a big deal. I'll take that over eating PFAS any day! To those complaining about how much rice it cooks. It cooks up to 4 cups of *cooked* rice (so 2 cups of dry rice). I believe it says this in the description but a lot of the folks reviewing this aren't understanding the difference between cups of cooked v. dry rice. Anyway, great little rice cooker. I have the 3 cup rice cooker and only made 2 cups of rice but what a mess the cooker made! I cannot even imagine what three cups would have done. The lid was covered with an edging of residue on the outside as well. I previously owned the non-stick variant of this product and bought this as a replacement, since I'm currently working through getting rid of all my non-stick kitchenware. Functionally, this is identical to the non-stick variant. That's to say, it makes acceptable rice with a simple interface. The stainless steel version is about $10 -$15 more than the non-stick version, which I think is a reasonable cost increase for the stainless steel bowl. The inner bowl itself feel heavy and durable, and I have no doubt that it will last for a long time. As far as I can tell, the inner bowl is also uncoated. For the first couple uses, the machine has a slight burning plastic smell. However, this seems to subside with additional uses. ... show more

The 6 cup (3 cup uncooked) rice cooker is so tiny. We usually consumes 2-3 cups of rice, so this one is perfect for us. But if you ever need to cook more than 3 cup of uncooked rice, buy the bigger one. It does make a smelting smell in warm mode. The smell comes from the square heating element for the warm mode. One way to fix it is to just remove the heating element. If you are electrician, you may consider screw a small metal place between heating element and the screw base. This is the 4th rice cooker I have owned. My first 2 were aluminum pans, the last one was a Teflon pan, and I really wanted to move to a stainless steel one this time. Love the heavy-duty stainless-steel pan, it feels like it will last for a long time. I saw a lot of complaints about how badly the rice sticks. I have to say that it does stick a little (depending on how long you let it sit on the warm setting before removing it), but it's not that hard to clean. Worth the money. Happy with it. Could have given 5 star if there was button to turn it off. Only two options are cook and warm, no button to turn off while plugged in. Also I see discoloration after certain weeks. But I think that happens with most steel utensils .

Bought it just bcoz it’s innerpot is stainless steel Need to put little more water n apply some butter if u cooking basmati rice n than it cooks well but it is strange that after cleaning there leaves some foggy spot inside steel pot so I dislike that part
