This is a great purchase for someone living in a dorm or an elderly person that lives by themselves and likes rice. This is great I can make just enough rice for meat for a dinner and don't have to worry about large amounts of leftovers. It's the perfect size and makes the perfect amount of rice just for me. This works the same as other aroma rice cookers. It makes plenty of rice for 2 to 4 people and requires almost no oversight while it does its thing. Since its cycle can take about 15 minutes, I usually set it when i start cooking and its often done just before I finish -- depending on whats for dinner of course. Just make sure that you unplug it shortly after the rice is cooked, leaving it plugged in will leave its "warming" setting on and in the past that has caused mine to burn to the bottom. Speaking of which, cleaning the insert is super easy! Fill it with water and let it sit, then all that residue will come right off. It's also dishwasher safe! ... show more
