This thing is awesome! Unconventional for what I'm doing though - I am using it as a ground mat for camping. We have a very large open bottom hot tent, and this may serves both as our footer, as well as a nice soft flooring material to walk, stand, and sit on. It elevates the camping experience dramatically! It really is easy to clean. I start by just using a mop with plain water on the bottom, which gets very muddy after the hot tent melts the frozen ground. When that's cleaned off, I flip it over, vacuum it off, and then spray clean it if needed (often not necessary). When it's dry, I roll it back up for the next trip. I love it. I do have the area under the wood stove cut out, and a fiberglass heat mat layered between the two. It was easy to cut. This product exceeds every expectation I had. ... show more

Ordered the 22' Extra Large size. Glad I did cause the extra width also provides more coverage and floor protection for walking around vehicle. Had to trim the length and carpet was easy to cut, but it was difficult to cut in straight line due to not having a long enough straight edge. May be an easier way, Carpet comes rolled and folded, after 4 weeks still waiting for some creases to lay down. The included tape works good on a bare cement floor. You may want to have a helper to secure carpet when taping edges down so it lays flat, but tape can be repositioned without to much problems. Tires don't track marks and after a couple days of heavy rain still stayed clean and dried quickly from wet car. Easy to clean too. Overall we like the look, thickness and texture of carpet, I opted for the Armorall due to US made , quality shows. ... show more

Bought two of these for our garage and not only does it make it look much better, but it was super easy to clean. After a winter of parking our car on it with sludge and salt, we power washed it and it all came out, looking almost brand new and it dried. Super impressed with this mat.

Just a couple of things to take note of: The photo of it's packaging is incorrect. It actually came rolled up and folded in half which is actually better than the multi-fold. However, in my photos below you will see that even rolled up, that crease down the middle is very difficult to get rid of. I laid out the carpet for 2 days first before laying it down and the crease was still there so I tried to just pull the carpet tighter before taping it down but as you can see, it's still pretty obvious. Speaking of taping it down... the tape they send with it is absolutely terrible! Maybe I just rolls that had been sitting in the hot sun for 10 years but as you can see in the photos, the edges wouldn't come apart cleanly and it barely stuck to the concrete (even though it says "concrete" in the description). The stickiness is very weak and I ended up purchasing heavy duty double stick tape on my own. I threw the rest of this tape away. So if you were expecting to save money because the tape is included, don't count on it. Between the 3 rolls, one was about 2 inches longer which wasn't an issue for my project but just be aware. As for durability, I've now had it down for a week and we park 2 cars on it. I will say that it works very well. I can even turn the steering wheel and it doesn't affect the carpet. Overall, you get what you pay for. The cost to epoxy my garage floor was close to $3,000 so only spending $300 was quite the bargain. Just do yourself a favor and order different double stick tape at the same time and if possible, steam out the wrinkles first before applying it to your ground. ... show more

    • Watch out for this one - floor protection or destruction?

Neither the description or the specs on the ad were complete with the info this can/will damage your garage floor surface (painted or stained) This info is only included in package insert that you read after it arrives - what's the point? very unhappy! Like most, I checked the reviews and no one had taken the time to share this so I feel I should. This is what the insert inside the box says after the word WARNING: "If your floor has been treated with certain sealers or paints, prior to mat installation, chemicals used in the sealer or paint may react to the ArmorAll Garage Flooring Mat's PVC backing causing it to adhere to the garage floor, which may result in damage to the mat and/or floor. Please consult your sealer or paint manufacturer's instructions on any possible reactions to PVC or other similar materials. If no reaction is indicated, for best results please allow at least 72 hours or more, for your garage floor to cure before using mats. Or see your sealer or applications recommendations for recommended sealing time. We also recommend that you check your floor immediately after installation and periodically thereafter to insure the mat and floor are compatible" - AND WHEN IT IS NOT? SOOOOO UNHAPPY!!!! Basically peeling it back over and over to check if/how bad it is sticking also stretches out the mat and makes it lumpy - crazy misleading web advertisement and should not be allowed. If these can only be used on raw concrete floors, or with certain paints and stains, it should say so in the ad/description/specs - This is just not right - avoid wasting your $ and potentially having your floor destroyed by these "mats that are sold as meant to protect your floors" - The treatment I had done to my garage floor was extremely expensive that is why I bought this was to protect my investment not to risk having it ruined..... Never thought I'd be peeling the dirty garage mat up, before pulling in the garage, to see if the floor is compatible/peeling each time either - UGGGH! nasty ... show more
