I bought this as a gift for my 13 year old who loves making cards (and shes good at it). This set has kept her interest, her only very very small complaint was that there are only 3 colors. However since they are watre color pencils, she has used blending to get some new colors.

I ordered several of these and sent one to each house for a Zoom birthday painting party for non-artist adults. It has everything — a brush, two watercolor pencils, a line marker, several postcard-sized stock weight paper cards, a little tray of watercolors, flower and vine templates, step by step instructions — and is really fun for non-professionals and would probably be good for kids of upper-elementary age. It is not professional style paint and only has one brush, so it works for maybe 2 people to share and wouldn’t delight a pro as much as it delighted me. Fun! ... show more

Not at all what I expected. This set is tiny! I have postcards larger than the stencils and paper! Also, really not for beginners as the instructions are basically to use the stencils and color them with the paints. I guess I assumed the leaflet was a book of instruction on watercolor technique but it’s really just a wrapper. I already own lots of high quality supplies and was looking for a beginner tutorial. Better to go to your local craft store and get some stencils and paint for half the price if that’s all you want to do. Oh well. ... show more
