These blinds look like they would have been perfect for what I needed. Unfortunately, I had to return them. I was sure that I had read someplace that they needed a minimum of 1 inch of space for an inside-mount. I have exactly 1 inch of frame above my window. These blinds just won't work, however. The holes for the mounting brackets are right at the edge of the window frame, which just wouldn't be solid. I included a picture of the bracket inside my frame. I broke one of my two sets of blinds. Fyi you can't steam cellular shades or the glue melts :) since I am moving soon I didn't want to spend a ton of expensive shades so got this replacement. It looks and works just like the original fancier brand I had.

I I do like these blinds. They feel kind of fragile, but if you are easy with them they work great. One problem is that one of the blinds in my last order of four, was stained with a drip of something brown (I'm hoping it's coffee and not blood, yuck) we didn't notice until it was installed and opened, so not going to return. I hope it will come out with a spot clean. ... show more

Sturdy and works as expected. The top easily goes up and down, so does the bottom. Lets SOME light through; at night you can see vague outlines of someone standing right in front of the shade if they are backlit. But it's not that bad.
