The UV Rated plastic is sure to withstand long term use outdoors. This siding box kit will work 1/2-inch or less type of siding, whether you have it up or not. The surface is also paintable, allowing you to have a custom finished look to your projects. UL Listed.

I've used a countless number of these when I worked as an electrician, but I moved a couple of states away and bought a house but I couldn't find these at the big box home improvement stores or even at the local professional building supply businesses. Amazon of course sells them. I didn't want the after siding siding block because I don't like the way they look, with these all you have to do is remove the outside edges, trace an outline on the siding, cut the siding, screw it to the cut out area, and caulk around and inside the unit. I haven't installed one of these before but was simple and straightforward. The plastic is harder than I thought it would be, definitely a good thing as it should last a while.

These look great, very sturdy. I would buy again. I used them for mounting coach lights, and soffit flood lights. There were several sets of holes for different mounting configurations. Quality looked a little rough, but they are sturdy... You never notice once a fixture is mounted to it.
