Arrived early with no defects. The storage box is sturdy and secures well. Depending on the weight of items to be stored in the box, it might be a good idea to re-enforce the bottom with 1/4 plywood. I'm going to. After all it is "Heavy Duty Aluminum". Other than that, I'm pleased with the purchase.

At the price, it’s hard to complain. These boxes are reasonably well made. The aluminum is thick enough to seem sturdy. The kids close right. The latches are nice. I didn’t like the hinges all that much. They seem a bit lacking. But I think they will be fine. My only real gripe is that I had to adjust both latches for the lids to close fully. It was easy. Common sense got it done. It didn’t take any complicated instructions. But the fact that a brand new box came that way kinda frustrated me. Still, they are worth the buy and I expect to get many years of service from them. ... show more

This box is well worth the price. No, it's not the same build as a $500 box but with some simple additions it can be made to be as sturdy and water tight as a much more expensive box. I added a center brace and a 3/4" plywood bottom to correct the weak sides (prior to brace, side wall could be pushed in to defeat the lock/latch) and make the bottom super sturdy. I mounted the box recessed into the trailer floor held in place by the box walls. Standing inside the box it feels very solid now. See pictures. ... show more

The box is exactly what I expected and the the gas struts are very strong. Unfortunately it came with a dent in the back corner that will be exposed once mounted. All in all a decent purchase.
