I have the temp turned all the way up, so i dont have to turn on much hot or cold water, but still get a good "real shower". We get 15-20 min without running out of hot water! Didnt expect it to work as good as it does for the price! Installation was easy....camper is plumbed with half inch pex, so all that was needed was a couple elbows and 2 sink supply lines to connect to existing pipes (replaced a 12 gallon electric tank). I picked this hot water tank to use in our new outdoor shower. We just wanted something easy to connect and install to heat the shower water for a rinse off, after using the pool or spa. The 8 gallon capacity is enough for 2 washing showers or 4 rinse offs. I'm happy with the purchase. Follow up, the heater continues to trip the reset mode and turns off. You need to remove the front panel each time to reset the unit. My Amazon return window closed. Ariston customer service no longer sends replacement thermostats. After multiple phone calls and emails they are supposedly sending me a refund. I won't buy this unit again. ... show more

This "ondemand" heater should be the STANDARD for all new RV's. The traditional propane heater sucks. They take sooo long to heat up, one can not even take a full shower because they don't "recover" in time... BUT, THIS unit has never let me down, super hot water for a shower for 30 minutes or more - like it never gets cold !!! Very Easy to install and set up. Did NOT even raise my electric bill enough to notice - maybe $3 to $5 a month ... show more

I needed a water heater or my ADU and did a bunch of research about the types, sizes etc. I came across this product ans was very hesitant since it was only 8 gallon and I wasn't sure if this would sure if it would be enough for the sink and shower. I decided to try it since it was literally my only option. The product works great, I get hot water instantly and since it was installed next to the sink and shower, there is no time delay for water to get from the tank to the sink or shower. On average, it starts running out of hot water abut 7-8 minutes into a shower but that is a long shower and this way, I am forced to save water. If I use the sink, I may need to wait about 10 minutes for the tank to fill up and heat up again but I have had it a little over a year now and I love it! ... show more

Bought this for my barn sink! Works great. I don’t know if would keep a shower hot for extended periods but perfect for sinks and hot water instantly. Plumber installed it for $200 for me! It was well worth it. Hard to wash hands in cold water when -0 in MN winter.

Would give it 0 stars if I could. Unit doesn’t power on and their support agrees the unit is bad but won’t replace it until a technician comes to look at it. The unit costs $200. Find a technician that would cost less than that to come diagnose it. It’s not possible. This is just a way for this company to not have to honor their warranties. Okay, so first to clear up a few things that I was confused about from all the conflicting information online about this thing, the outlets are 1/2" NPT, however there are a couple of bushings included that crossover to 3/4" NPT and they come straight out the top, both the inlet and the outlet. I am a single man that lives alone and I can take a 15 or 20 minute shower easily and still have hot water left. And for the money you really can't beat this thing. However, I'll reserve full judgment until we see how long it lasts, but for now I'm thrilled because the next best priced competitor that I could find cost over twice what I paid for this. I hooked it up using shark bites on PEX line and instead of hardwiring it in I just wired in a cord and plug it right into a 110 outlet and I have no issues whatsoever, it heats up fast and it recovers fairly fast too for a 110 volt unit, and that's the main problem that I was a little nervous about buying this thing, the 110 versus 220 but I have no regrets. ... show more
