I wanted a rug in the kitchen that I could clean weekly. Not only does this wash easily, it does a good job of repelling stains. I spilled spaghetti sauce on it. wash cloth with DAWN took care of the spill. Later, I machine washed the rug and couldn't find any evidence of where the spill occured. And the feel under your feet is very pleasant. I would total use this as a portable rug. I think it would be an excellent picnic rug.

I wasn't sure about this rug at first. The color scheme is not a blend that is typically seen. There's a large amount of red throughout the entire pattern. It changes the entire look of the rug, and not in a good way. When I put the rug out on the floor I almost immediately folded it right back up, because of how ugly the red made the whole rug look. But before I could roll it back up, my son came over and laid on it. He loved it. It is super soft, has a lot of padding, and it's not fuzzy. So no shedding, or major allergy issues. He is seven. He could care less what the rug matches. He was just happy to have a soft place on the floor to sit that wouldn't cover his clothes in fuzz balls. Needless to say, the rug was never rolled back up. It remains right in the center of my living room looking just as ugly as ever. But my son likes it, and in my house that holds more weight than any decoration preference. It does stay in place, and it is much easier for him to play with his toys, because the rug sits as level as the floor. It doesn't bunch up. I have only had a couple of visitors over since I put the rug down. They both agreed that the red ruined the entire look of the rug. It does hide dirt well, but the pattern is so mixed that it literally hides anything that ends up on the floor. That includes toys that my son can't see to pick up, which are quite painful to step on.

So I really wanted to love this carpet area rug I should say. But the moment I laid it out on the floor, it just was too bright and the color turquoise was so bright with so much purple in there, that it caused my cat to have the Zoomies LOL. She would come out look at the rug and she'd run really fast into the second bedroom and she did not want to walk on it. I wanted it to be more settled because it was beautiful but they should not put purple in it I can see more dark blue and black to go with the turquoise or khaki color but not so much green turquoise color that was just too bright I wanted to love this I really did and I had to return it unfortunately

Absolutely stays put on tile floors. I was dubious on the idea that it might be able to mitigate the coldness of the tiles with how thin it is, but it actually does. It don't know how to describe the texture in any other way than: it feels like short-haired puppy fur. Not that I walk on puppies, but if you've petted an animal with really short hair, you have a pretty good idea of the texture (but much softer). I'm using this in my home office/workshop in the station where I ship parcels. I didn't buy it for that, but seeing that it was so low profile it would probably not put much fiber into the air at all, I deemed it safe for being in the same room as my laser. Now, the downside: The print that I have isn't one that I love. It's nice, I like it, but I liked precisely zero other prints on offer on this particular listing. They have a problem in the visual design department, but have nailed it for the low-fiber, non-skid carpet runner department. 4 stars.
