We have laminate flooring throughout because we are a pet friendly home. This type of rug is perfect for keeping down the noise from the paws. It's also great for a place for them to lay instead of on the cold floor and the feel is soft too. Cleanup is perfect - just need an electric broom or use your hose floor attachment on your vacuum as previous comments are correct - a regular vacuum is too strong to use. It is not plush or carpet like. I should not have to iron a "rug". It is very thin. Color is right though. It measures 8x10 but irregular. More like a large blanket

I got this rug in multiple sizes. I was in love with the style and feel of the rug. However, cleaning it is a chore and washing it ruined the rug. After the first wash, the top layer separated from the backing and stretched out. The result is lumpy, like if you laid a blanket on the floor. It helps to dry it in the sun but doesn't completely fix the lumpiness and I won't be able to do that in the winter. This happened for all four rugs I purchased (8x10, 6x9 and two runners). Also after the first wash, two of the rugs encountered unraveling in the edge stitching. Lastly, I cannot vacuum this rug as it sucks up into the vaccum. It must be swept by broom and washed. This also goes for all 4 rugs I purchased. These were so close to what I was looking for...but ended up being so far away. ... show more
