I cut one of these in two to install in two quarter windows that the morning sun was excessive. Since the radius is not constant they had to be trimmed. I just installed half of each using the included color matched tape and trimmed off with scissors using the arched window frame as a guide so they would fit into the opening. Very easy installation. The trick is getting your measurement correct before cutting. If you’re long by a fraction of an inch, it crumples and it’s a big pain to shave off at that point. But once I got them right, they’ve made a HUGE difference by reducing the scorching afternoon heat in my entire house (western facing with no trees to offer shade near my windows in the unbearable baking by Florida summer sun) ... show more

Got this to cover my windows which isn't a complete arch, but it fit almost perfectly. I didn't have to cut the center after it was place because of window not be an arch. The strip adhesive they give you works great for my window It has not come off yet. I place this about 3 weeks ago. It doesn't black out the window You can still see the light but I did order a white color. The material is kind of thick so that is a plus. I purchased the arch shade with the silver backing. When you open it, as shown above it says "light filtering". As long as you get the one that is white and silver, it's room darkening. So happy the tag was wrong.

I have a giant arched window (3ft radius) in my rental and I was so excited to get this product to block the ridiculous amount of sunlight that pours in because someone decided to face the window due west. My room is unusable in the late afternoon/evening because of this. We set the shade up and it was great...for a day until I opened the window underneath and I guess the movement made the shade fall. We kept putting it up and taping it as various reviews suggested but it would never stay and now it's just a cat toy - seriously, my cat loves playing with it and lying under it. Don't buy this if you have as big a window as mine! Still trying to solve the problem...sigh. ... show more
