I was using 3/32 cast iron welding rods with a amp range of 50-70, I used it at 60 and had great penetration in the cast iron exhaust manifold that i was fixing. I got this on sale for a little over $120 & was skeptical but I didn't want to keep hauling my Miller home for projects so I decided to gamble & it paid off . I wouldn't say it's the best welder ever but it's definitely impressive for the price . The controls are simple & it runs a nice bead . I had some 1/8 inch stainless to weld up & stainless can be finicky to begin with but it got the job done . I've only ran it on 240v & between 65 & 80 amps . With the relatively small leads I don't think I'd want to run it wide open on heavier material but I will definitely be using it more often on light jobs .

I love this machine, I am a professional specialty welder and I weld every day. This machine performs along side with some big box diesel welders. Best value for money on any machine I’ve ever purchased. Very easy to use and setup and the size and storage ability is amazing. It lays down some premium high quality welds. I run it off a 6500W generator 220v and heat is very hot, stable consistent arc and burns good. I am not tinkering with this machine, I’m welding 1/2inch plate to @20lb I-beam. Easy to adjust the temperature. I cant speak to long term durability because I just got it 3 days ago. So far it’s perfect. 1/8 7018 @ 130A

The weldability is great for a beginner as myself. It was beneficial to watch YouTube video instructions and trials about this product. It was with ease that I welded my first bead. Easy to use and anybody can weld with it. I do believe it's for DIY products as suggested and not for professional businesses. Recommend wiring 220v plug for heavier steel guages. It is plastic but who cares if it works for my purposes.
