So I've managed to finally get to running this Welding machine AND while it runs good w/ 3/32" electrodes apparently it doesn't do very well w/ 1/8" electrodes OR there's something I'm missing/not understanding. I’m not f or sure if there is something wrong with this one you can take two clean pieces of metals and not get a spark then it seems like when the unit has been on for about a min it’s charged up enough to start sparking it will eventually throw a weld but only for a short second about the time you get behind it it’s over sticks and turning up about 160 will more then likely throw a breaker I also hooked to a generator with no avail but if you need to tack something maybe if you need to actually weld something on a super small scale spend a little extra and go to barber freight if you have the money just buy a good one ... show more

It’s a good welder, would be an excellent welder for beginners or small projects. Only quirks it has is, it wants to shut off a lot. Maybe it keeps it from over heating so I’m not sure.
