Pulls my Keywest 1720 along perfectly in current and against waves. Less than half the price of the big brand names but very good quality. Super quiet, cannot hear it at all. Remote control works great. Used in Florida salt water and no problems.

Overall very pleased with the purchase and have used it ALOT! Has not malfunctioned at all or let me down when I need it. My only complaint is; the remote is not as responsive as I would like it to be. Usually have to press the button very hard and more than once to get a response from the motor. Battery life, of the remote, is lacking also, if you don't buy the foot controls definitely take a battery pack with you to plug it in while you're on the water. The foot controls are on point. I love the display that shows the motor speed. The battery meter display is a very handy function as well. For my particular boat, install was a little weird because of contour lines on the bow of the boat. However, I used a treated piece on 1x4 as a spacer between the boat and the plate for the motor and it worked out great! My typical day on the water is between 4-10 hours and I have ran the motor non-stop for 6-8 hours in a day, multiple times. I have removed the prop and inspected the shift and anode, they show no signs of wear. When I get a different boat, I will definitely be a returning customer. My boat is a 1986 18' fiberglass, with an old heavy v6 150hp Evinrude off the back. Very heavy. The trolling motor has no problem moving me through the water 6-10 mph depending on currents, wind, and chop. ... show more

Whether you use the remote or the foot controller for the bow mount version, I hope you, your passengers, other boaters nearby, and your fish love obnoxiously loud beeping, because every single time you change direction or heading, you’ll get blasted with a piercing beep. And you can’t turn it off. This motor is a colossal waste of money. I have never been so mad and frustrated with an Amazon purchase. I’ve drilled holes in my new boat, and now I’m stuck with this. ... show more
