You get what you pay for. Lasted about good solid year and then the controller died. You cannot buy a replacement controller!!! So I ended having to bite the bullet and buy a high quality trolling motor. Terrible high pitched noise at random speeds and extremely jerky not very smooth. Also the lift feature is rough and awkward really put a toll on the back. Also drains my batteries like crazy!! Not much reassurance locking in place I would often triple check because I had it fly into the water while going high speeds. Do yourself a favor save money and buy you quality trolling motor the only thing good about the motor is the price!

Updated 5/6/26: Received replacement within 3 days, so that was good; installed it but the hand held remote didn’t work. The foot control worked fine. Contacted Amazon, and they sent a replacement and it works, both remotes are surprisingly responsive; and it’s quieter than my Minn Kota. I’m ready to put it in the water and will update after running it a while. Mounting was straight forward, I had no issues with release levers as some stated; but I made sure it was mounted level. Initial review Apr 2026: As received…. Was already returned. Gave it the ‘benefit of the doubt’ approach… not working… clearly inherited someone else’s problem…. Return approved with “assisted pickup” and no replacement option…. Refund only. There goes my Saturday…: hey Amazon… how about stop letting your sellers re-sell other peoples GARBAGE???? Do better….1000% ZERO ⭐️⭐️⭐️’s

Install is easy but not a direct replacement of the trolling motor I had so it sticks out quite a bit farther out than I would like so my boat cover don’t fit. The foot peddle is quite large. Haven’t used in water yet so can’t say good or bad about performance yet

The install was very easy and the product has been so far just as expected. The quick release plate that can be added to the unit does need to be thicker when used on a pontoon boat with carpeting. The power cord is very long which was great for my application as it was able to reach the area where the batteries are. The wireless remote is great so far..
