Bought this wallet in 2024. Today is 5/5/26, and it’s still holding strong. Of course it’s all scratched up but no screws have come out (my last one fell apart) and my cards always stay put. I’ve packed 18 cards inside with room for more. I love how compact and lightweight it is, how easy it is to get my cards in/out even with long nails, and how my cards are protected no matter how rough I am with the wallet. Oh, and the light pink color is just as pictured. Definitely a must buy!!

I've been thinking about switching to this style wallet for a while, but the price of the main "name brand" was a little too much for me to pay for a wallet. I stumbled across this one day on Amazon and thought the price looked good and the reviews seemed positive and pulled the trigger. Another reason I was hesitant was because I carry quite a few cards (between ID, work ID {more on that later} credit/debit cards, health insurance etc etc) and wasn't sure this would hold them. To be fair, I did cut a few out that I don't use much in person and could easily be stored at home. As you can see from the pictures, I was able to squeeze quite a few cards into this thing and it feels good, not like it is going to break or anything. That said, it's made well. the outside covers are thick (I also like the aesthetics of the wood grain print) and the nylon like bands that keep it together and able to be opened and closed seem like they will last a lifetime. Also, one of the reasons I got this wallet is because of the sheer bulk of my old school leather bifold wallet that I kept in my back pocket. I've been taking quite a few 5+ hour drives every year and within an hour the old wallet would be jamming into my thigh. I realized it probably wasn't great for my back and butt and whatever else, so I wanted to get something like this I could keep in my side pocket. This worked perfect. If there are any cons I can think of (which there really aren't, it does exactly what it needs to, this is kind of personal nitpicking) I guess one would be organization. If you're someone like me who has a lot of cards (being lazy and generally disorganized does not help), sometimes it can be tough to find the one I'm looking for. I pretty quickly realized I should leave my license and debit and other most used cards on the outside, so it really isn't much of a problem...but I have had a few moments in line at a 7-11 trying to find my debit while the kid at the counter stares at me and the people behind me judge me and I eventually find my card but my day is officially ruined. Definitely more on me then the wallet. The other small, small annoyance is kind of a catch 22. It does feature RFID blocking and as a result, I can't keep my work ID inside. I mean, I could, but I would have to dig through every day to pull it out to scan in and out and I don't want to. So as seen in the picture I just leave it on the outside. After typing that out and thinking about it, it's definitely not a con, more of a feature and I'm just lazy. Please disregard. Solid wallet. If you're interested in this style I recommend this one for the price and quality. Can't imagine the ones for over twice the price are any better. Will buy again if needed.

My old wallet was worn out, and I was tired of keeping a fat wallet in my pocket, stuffed with cards and receipts and who knows what else. I wanted to try a more minimalist wallet, but I still need to carry 10 to 15 cards. Most brands were either too expensive or didn’t hold enough cards. I didn’t want to blow $100 on a wallet for the first time only to decide that I didn’t like the minimalist style after all. This one has the best combination I could find of high capacity and low price so I figured it was worth a try. After using it for a few weeks, I really do like it. It looks nice, and seems to be made well. (It came with extra screws and a screwdriver - I hope that’s not a bad sign that they expect it to break frequently.) When stuffed with 15 cards it’s a little thick, almost as thick as my old wallet, but I’ll work to pare down so I don’t need to carry so many cards. There are only two things I don’t like about this wallet: - First, you have to take all the cards most of the way out to find the card you’re looking for. - Second, the money clip is sharp and sticks out - it either jabs you in the legs or if you wear it facing out, seems like it will eventually tear a hole in your pants. It would be nice if there was a way to just pop out the two or three cards that you use most often, debit card, drivers license, etc., rather than having to pull all the cards out to find the one you want. Also, I wish it had a cash strap instead of a money clip. It seems like they may have made styles with a strap in the past, but only money clip styles were available when I placed my order. Overall, it was a good purchase as a starter wallet, but my next wallet will need to have a cash strap.

No knocks on the product itself. The build and materials seem fine actually and are quite nice. As you see in the pictures, I bought the FirstVIP money strap version (left) , the FirstVIP ID card version with money clip (middle), and the Mountain Voyage money clip version to compare. Essentially, from all that I researched online (including those I don't have, as well as those costing more than $50), no matter the brand/price, these are all basically the same quality-wise, with a few minimal differences in card accessibility (tension straps). Generally speaking, you'll probably either love them or hate them for their general design and use case. 1. You're not putting any of these in your back pocket. They're small, yet still noticeable, hard, metal bricks. This is my main gripe. Basically, you're having to use a front pocket which means your keys, knife, flashlight, phone or even appendix carry options now need to be considered and possibly moved around. Like, do you want to move your phone to the back pocket and put your wallet in your back pocket or keep that traditional? Do you want to swap any of those other EDC setups around to accommodate a front pocket wallet carry? That's going to be a personal preference for everyone to decide on. 2. If you have a laminated card of any kind, this could cause an issue for any brand/model and holds true to my tests. My firearms safety card was way too big. I trimmed it to the max and it still has a larger footprint because it has to have an edge to remain sealed. It doesn't look like much, but you definitely notice it when holding it or moving cards around and I think it needs to be considered in this type of minimalist wallet form factor. 3. This FirstVIP brand has 2 side straps and no cover on the top or bottom, regardless of the model. Personally I found this to be easier to access the cards in both of these models than this one from Mountain Voyage. However time will tell if this is really good or not. If the straps stretch out, it's likely the cards could slide out more easily on the FirstVIP models, but as a new device, it currently makes the cards more accessible in my opinion and does have good strap tension. The Mountain Voyage model has a strap on one side, plus the top and bottom, which I think is more secure overall, but also not as easy to get to the cards. Personally, I think accessing the cards is the goal, so I didn't particularly like this layout. 4. The more I think about it, the fact that bills are out in the open on the money clip, the more of a red flag these minimalist wallets probably are for would-be thieves. Some people can't resist an opportunity or temptation - even if it just $5, but certainly if your flashing Jackson's or Benjamin's. Decide for yourself if that's an issue for you, or not. 5. Bulk. It's an overall smaller form factor than most wallets, but it still has some depth to it as you stack in cards and there is no give in the metal frame. If you're a true minimalist, maybe that won't be an issue. I have my driver's license, credit card, debit card, Costco card, veterans card, firearms safety card, medical, dental, gym, state CCW and out of state CCW and it's nearly as thick as my wallet and I can't really see going without any of those. If I go on a business trip, there's 2 more cards I have to add in and I'm still not even carrying any backup credit cards, library card, or loyalty cards. These will accommodate more, but that extra bulk starts to add back up l, pretty quickly. 6. Price. All this said, if you like the form factor of any of these devices, you can get them as low as $8.99 or spend upwards of close to $100 for basically the same thing. Is something like a warranty (that doesn't cover cosmetic damage) or a brand name worth the extra money? Not in my humble opinion. I'd rather put money in my wallet, not in purchasing it. The FirstVIP wallets were on sale for less than 1/2 the cost of the Mountain Voyage and IMHO there is no real difference besides the strap form factor for accessing the cards. This will probably boil down to personal preference for many people. However, again, there are tons of options and price points to choose from - shop around. I can't justify paying $30 when a nearly identical product is 1/3 the cost and every bit just as quality and in some ways even better for my personal preferences. And the fact that there are "brand name" options going for $80 on sale that really don't do much different, is insane. In the end, I decided the Mountain Voyage model is going back and I'm going to keep the ID card version from FirstVIP for the times I want/need to front pocket carry and don't need many cards. I liked the extra feature on that one allowing your driver's license or access card to be available immediately. I also like the money clip better than the money straps, which I'm surprised by because I thought the strap would be a better form factor for me when I was considering them in my searches. I don't anticipate I'll actually use this wallet much, but for the roughly $12 it cost, I'm willing to keep one of them around and the price point of the Mountain Voyage doesn't makes sense now.

The wallet is a very simple design with easy access to your cards. It takes a little getting used to compared to a conventional wallet, but the size difference is great. I can barely feel this thing in my pocket, and it is very lightweight. The only con I might have is the wood paneling feels like a thin sheet of balsa wood, which may not hold up over time. It also has "mountain voyage co" carved into the wood which is a bit of an eye sore. Overall, though for quality relative to price. This seems like an excellent product so far.

As a recovering "constanza" I really appreciate the minimalist wallet. It's durable, fit easily in your pocket and comfortable to carry. It can be a little awkward fishing out the card or ID you're looking for at times, but it's a good trade off. Also carrying cash in the money clip is a little awkward because the bills are wider than the wallet. But, who even uses cash these days.
