You have to attach all rods together, I couldn’t attach just two. Then once together, I could not detach two of them. This may be user error as I did not want to break them. The sponge does not lock in place so when cleaning it did flip around a lot. I suppose part of that is on purpose for cleaning purposes to get different parts and decor yet it made it difficult when I would shift on the glass and it flipped over. Again, it could be user error. I am 5’2 and my tank stands almost as tall as me on it’s stand. I was not using a ladder. ... show more

You get a lot of things with this, and the siphon does work really well, but the suction part is a little flimsy. I only have a small 5 gallon tank so it works well though. The pieces like the algae scraper and net are all separate and go on one stick interchangably and sometimes they are hard to pull off. This might be a problem with the razor scraper as it could cut you. But overall, you get what you get for only $9. ... show more

Thing thing doesn’t have the suction to clean. I ended up buying another gravel cleaner and it pulled out nasty stuff that this one was leaving behind making me think it was cleaner then it was
