The fleece lining is great when it's cold, but the pants may be too warm for spring skiing. These pants have a lower rise, which may not be comfortable for everybody. Other features are nice.

This product worked out well, just as I planned. I bought one size larger, with hopes that it would slide over my joggers early in the cold hours of the morning when I walk the dogs. They fit over my pants perfectly, comfortably, and stayed up well. The material is nice, like more expensive pants, and the inner material is soft. I took a star off only because they are very long. I’m 5’5, but I had to make a big cuff on these. They cuff well, with first cuff of the outside material, and second cuff of the (comfortable) elastic part holding the entire cuffed bottom well. I don’t care what they look like at this time of the morning when all I am doing is walking the dogs right outside of my house, but maybe I’ll hem them when I get a chance. I wore these pants for skiing. I skied in these for three consecutive days with leggings underneath. They kept me warm and dry the entire time. The weather was mild while I was skiing, so I’m not sure how these would hold up in colder temperatures, but they would keep you dry regardless. I really enjoyed the fit of these pants. Recently wore hiking in the Rocky Mountains. It was warmer than expected so I wore them more for waterproof and windproof qualities. Did a great job of blocking wind in the mountains. I get cold really easily so I wore them with a base layer and was just fine during the colder mornings of about 30-40 degrees. They have deep pockets which are nice. These run extremely small. I am an 8 in jeans and first ordered a 10 in these pants to have room to layer and could barely squeeze into them without any layers. Sizing up to a 12 allowed me a layer underneath but still felt snug, however, also slid down in the waist while hiking.

I ordered a size 4 and size 6 because I wasn't sure of the fit. The size 6 came first and I found them a little tight. They have 30" length, which is perfect. I normally wear a size 4 in jeans, but since the 6 is snug, I cancelled the order for the size 4. They are nice and lightweight with a fuzzy lining.
