They work wonderfully, the pletted bigger surface area is key to a longer lasting filter. I actually wash them out one time to reuse in my 1st & 2nd filter which can go in the house and outside. I have a 4 filter system and use new ones in the last two filters that go into the house's drinking water. I have tested several types of filters and these out perform them all, price and longer lasting. All my canisters are clear so I can see them because I can only get from 3 days to 3 weeks before I need to change them. I bet most people would get up to 6 months easily with these filters.

Considering you're supposed to change the filter every 6 months, the 6 pack was way overkill, but couldn't resist the price. I have a whole house filter system and these fit that system. The water coming from it tastes like...water. No problems.

This filter doesn't fit a universal filter housing, but this is a awesome filter for filtering rain water. I run my brain water through several spin down filters first (500 micron - 50 micron) then through this 1 micron and it filtered down to 1 micron 1000 gallons of water in a hour and a half. Impressive!

I am on a well and had my pump replaced recetly that stirred up a lot of sediment, there was no degredation of the water at the tao, the filters did a great job. Thi sis the best price I found anywhere also.

I currently have 54 employees under me. With this many people you constantly have to keep water out for them. We are on a well system that has a lot of sand and iron in it. To make the water better for my employees we use charcoal filters to clense these particals out. In the past we have used a 5 micron filter in front of the more expensive charcoal filter. By doing this we were saving some expense on replacing the charcoal filter. By us switching to the 1 micron filter we are able to extend the life of the charcoal filter by an extra couple of months.
