Awesome stuff, my fish seems to love it. I traded the rocks for sand. No issues when cleaning the tank, doesn’t float up or get sucked up much. Perfectly fits in a 10 gallon but grab 2 if you want more. Color is beautiful

I have a small 5gal for my Betta. Was worried the smaller bag wasn't going to be enough so I purchased the 10lb bag. Was plenty and have some left over. I took my Betta out of the aquarium and did a partial water change. So the water level would be lower when I put sand in. It still was cloudy, as you can see from the picture, however, that will fade away. Put the plants and Betta back in and he has been fine. Swimming around as normal. The sand is fine, soft and great whiteish color. It's river sand so I knew it wasn't going to be a pure white,,no river sand really is,,lol. I would purchase it again. I’ve used this sand in my tank to cap off aquatic soil. I used 3 bags within a 40 gal tank and found it’s been thick enough to provide a good cap. I could’ve gotten away with 2 but the third allowed me to make some hills rather than have it all flat. The sand is slightly off white but it makes it look more natural. As it collects waste it’ll become offwhite regardless. I did not rinse this sand at all before putting it in and have had no issues with cloudiness or water parameters granted I do have a large flat rock which I add water overtop of so there’s not much disruption anyways. The plants are growing great in this but I think that comes down to the aqua soil not the sand (this photo was when the plants were new and settling in, they’re much better now, that sword has doubled in size!). ... show more

By far the best overall aquarium sand I've found. I only had to rinse the sand once to put in tank with no dust. But I'm betting that I didn't even have to do that. It looks nice and natural in the tank and you can't beat the price. Would definitely buy again.

This is great sand! Even though the bag said it had been rinsed three times & kiln dried I rinsed it anyway. No cloudiness whatsoever! I added as a cap over natural stone gravel in half my tank for my black knife ghost fish Shadow and he/she (who knows) loves it.

I love how tiny the sand granules are. It is not stark white but I like the color just fine. It’s not porous like other sand so the detritus does not sink into it but stays on surface for easy vacuuming. I will only buy this type of substrate from now on.
