I've had a zero water pitcher for years, so I've purchased a lot of replacement filters, both from the zero water company and this company and honestly, these are better. They are easy to install, do the job and last the same amount of time as the original product. An added plus is that they are faster at draining the water into the pitcher. Cost wise, these win over Zero Water brand filters. Life span is fairly similar too. However there is one particularly odd thing about these that I can't say I've experienced with the name brand version... When the filter is close to the end of its quality life, the water filtered takes on a strange fishy smell. Noticed first if you use the water to cook with, like I do with pastas and rice, as the water heats up it's very noticeable. If you're purely drinking the filtered water, it'll take a bit longer to notice the fishy smell weirdness. But there's no mistaking it. I have very hard, iron laden well water. So using filtered water is a must. This is a cheaper option and still more environmentally friendly than buying bottled water. Less expensive=happy wallet Fishy smell=gross Better for mother earth=good Two out three... I'll buy again. ... show more

These filters don't leak, but the original filter that came with the zero glass water filter did as well as I needed to replace the original plastic water valve. I found a metal replacement valve that works. Apparently this was an on going problem with the zero glass water filter, but once I reordered the valve and these filters it works fine now. Just be prepared to pay for the added cost with the zero glass water filter. ... show more

Been trying this filter for about 3 weeks. So far so good. Taste seems equal to the Zero brand. I like the fact there is less packaging. The Zero brand has a blue screw-on plastic cap on each filter that just gets tossed in the trash when installing the new filter.

Initially, I was incredibly happy to find these replacement filters. Having purchased ZeroWater filters in a large quantity and finding they are not providing the required quality expected out of the box, I figured it could not hurt to try another brand. Although I generally prefer buying from the manufacturer for quality purposes, what I realized was the filters for ZeroWater are made in Mexico and NOT the US so there was no reason not to try another brand. The Good: 1. Excellent results with filtering out of the box. 2. Price is very reasonable. The Bad: 1. The seal requires an extremely tight fit otherwise it leaks (bypassing the filter and seeping water into the pitcher). 2. Was able to use the filter about 6 times before the quality began degrading and it was no longer at 000. For me, this degradation happened after about 2 days of use. 3. Initial flavor is off a bit. It's not significant but there is something. I filter my filtered water through a larger pitcher which is using a ZeroWater filter so I was able to remove the added 'flavor' but not sure I would grab a glass of fresh water from just using these replacement filters otherwise. ... show more

It is a hit and miss sometimes. Out of 4 filters the quality control is so-so. You get one filter in average that does not last long at all or just really does not do the job of filtering the way it should. This is the second time I buy a set of four. If it is better this time around I will continue to use them, if not I will have to pay the extra 15 bucks for four of zero water genuine filters. Was hoping I could save since our water In Wichita kansas is not very good over 300 tds so filters don’t last long at all. I go through 1 filter about every 8-9 days. Gets expensive. But I have to drink either distilled water which also has gone up $1.25 a gallon since I am immune compromised. I have not many alternatives for water that is cheaper. ... show more
