Features

  • [Open/Closed Status Monitoring] With a built-in high-precision Hall sensor, the Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 can detect the opening and closing status of doors, windows, and drawers precisely. Once the sensor is triggered, it will send real-time alert notifications to your smartphone whether you're at home or away, ensuring you're always aware of any potential security concerns. (*Note: the functionality such as automation conditions may vary throughout the different ecosystems.)
  • [Local Home Automations] You can integrate the Door and Window Sensor P2 with your smart home ecosystem to enable advanced automations like adjusting thermostat settings or activating security cameras when a door or window is opened. Moreover, the automations are executed without the cloud, which can protect the users privacy and will keep working even if there is no internet connection.
  • [Voice Alerts and Status Notifications] The Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 supports Apple Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. With these voice assistants, you can receive alerts about events such as door entries, or ask whether a door is open, allowing you to effortlessly monitor your home.
  • [Easy Installation & Long Battery Life] With its compact design and adhesive back, the sensor is easily integrated into any interior. Additionally, equipped with a powerful CR123A battery, it provides uninterrupted protection with infrequent replacements.* The battery life may vary depending on the border router and Matter app the sensor is connected to. For best results, the future Aqara border router is advised.

  • Works great out of the box
Was able to install in minutes. Bigger than most door sensors and a bit pricey, but they worked great out of the box with Apple HomeKit, which shouldn't be surprising with a Matter device. Curious how the battery life is. Made notification in ControllerForHomeKit, and linked that in an Apple Home automation, so now I get notifications if a door is open for longer than a minute. I am please with the product. ... show more

  • Exceptionally poor placement of Matter code - massive failure - returned
I didn't even try and pair these P2 sensors to my Apple Home. Why? Two reasons. One, there's no matter QR matter code on the device itself. There is a QR code on a lose insert in the box. Ok not a total show stopper, as there's the matter numeric code on the device. BUT, #2, and this is insanely stupid, the printed numeric code is ON THE COVER not on the body that holds the electronics. So you can easily swap covers (which is just a piece of plastic) and not know which body it goes with. The sensor body has ZERO unique identifying numbers on it. Aqara at a minimum should have printed the Matter code ON THE BODY where the electronics are, so the code is always with the correct sensor. I packaged up all four that I bought and will stick with Eve, which has a full QR code on the sensor body. How this slipped through Aqara QA is beyond me. ... show more

  • Not ready yet, Feels like a beta product.
I bought 3 of these devices and they are so far a disappointment. Feels like the Matter dream is a hoax. These work when you connect them to one smart home platform such as Homekit and Smatthings but completely fail as a Matter device. I tried setting these up with Matter integration so they can be paired simultaneously with multiple smart home ecosystems like it's advertised but that isn't the case. After multiple attempts I've only been able to connect one platform to it at one time. You are better off waiting for an update, going with the older version or a different Matter product. ... show more

  • What adhesive
The product itself is decent. Super easy to setup. Only problem I had was the adhesive strips weren’t very sticky. I ended up returning it since it would stay where I needed it
