Although this product came in appearance poorly pre-assembled body mostly put together yet assembling is still required for the rest of the parts of the bike and not as advertised such as its name brand which their is none affixed to the side of the bike making it a bit difficult to research further in assembly and without a right brake handle and only a left one for someone who is mainly left handed as well as no mileage display screen as a previously advertised feature prior to purchasing this particular bike and the directions to assemble this bike came only in a foreign language and not in English requiring to research further through any similar YouTube videos for assembly. This bike has 3 speed gears (1st, 2nd and 3rd). After recommending a full 24 hour charge, the bike will power up 4 full green color bars (lights) and will last you about 2 days of usage depending upon the distance you travel with it before requiring to be re-charged again. I am middle aged, 5’ 1” and weigh about 140 pounds and had purchased this particular bike to fit me personally for comfortability and especially as a resident in a semi-rural area, commuting 2.5 miles to and from work as this is my first electric bike, traveling in 3rd gear which is the fastest nearly 25 miles per hour and have had this bike for a few months now to give it my honest review. The furthest I’ve traveled with my bike is 12 miles distance out of my town, one way before my bike quickly powered down to 3 bars, then 2 flickering bars before getting to one bar and immediately powering off. This bike is not a pedal assist and is very difficult to do so due to its power pedaling almost like having power steering in a car except without the fluid to help you smoothly rotate the wheel. So if you plan to travel that length in distance, bring your power cord and expect to sit at a local Resturant and / or Coffee shop for a few hours to give it just enough charge but not a full one again unless it’s been 24 hours for a best result just to make it back to your place of origin and / or the equivalent distance previously traveled and would not recommend pushing it any further distance other than to and from your destination that does not exceed 10-12 miles because this is not a vehicle and you will find yourself stuck! This bike is also waterproof because I had commuted to work and from work in an unexpected rain drizzle at least twice, (not rain storm, there’s a difference) in the few months I’ve had my bike. However, I do not recommend riding it in the rain at all or through any water puddles as well as avoid other passing vehicles splashing water on you with it while traveling. And although this bike does come in 2 other colors for women such as pink and teal, I decided to go with black for more of a sleek and versatile look giving it less of a childish appearance. It also comes with a small LED light previously affixed to this bike but sits low on the bike, focusing more so towards the ground and not eye level view on what’s in front of you when traveling in the dark in which I highly recommend to purchase an additional LED light that you can affix to the front middle bar of the bike and that sits up high for better viewing. In addition to this bike, I also purchased an Apple air tag and holder that this bike actually has a place to have one installed with a unique key for theft. I also recommend purchasing a back up camera as well as a front camera whenever traveling on this bike along traffic whether you’re in a bike lane or not for your safety! I also recommend in purchasing light up cap / stem-valve covers and / or under glow light to affix to your bike again when commuting in the evenings as the sun goes down for your safety so that you’re seen as well as a safety vest and appropriate bike helmet and not a motor cycle helmet because it is quite difficult to see in them, utilizing your vision, (side to side). Overall, this is a very nice unisex bike and I hope my review helps to determine if this bike is a right fit for you when simply seeking something inexpensive and that will get you from point A to Z in a pinch and without the expense of an actual vehicle for now. I get So many compliments when I’m out and about with it and I absolutely love my bike and all of its add on features I purchased separately and again, highly recommend it for you won’t be too disappointed :)

I purchased this e-bike as a Christmas present for an adult daughter. She has now used this bike for several months as her primary transportation to work which is about 13 miles each way. The battery life is excellent and she can make the full 13 mile trip without issue. She normally charges the battery while she is at work which is easy to do as it is removable and charges in a standard wall outlet in about an hour. The bike has ample power for hills and has good speed control and stability when riding. Pedaling while using power works flawlessly extending the battery and making for a fun ride. The seat is very comfortable for long rides and the seats and handlebars are adjustable for the rider. The bike folds up small enough to fit in the trunk of any car which has allowed her to use Uber when needed for bad weather and still take her bike with her. It is slightly heavy, but she has no problem picking it up to get it in a trunk.

This bike was pretty easy to assemble, but does not lack quality. Once I got it put together I pumped up the tires and zoomed around the neighborhood. Very stable, low noise(except for the horn which sounds great), functions as advertised and the battery lasts quite a long time.

within the first week the bike came i ran into some problems, at first the bike was running fine. But a quick flat from an extremely small hole caused me to buy a fix a flat. so far the temp fix is holding fine. second issue, the left bike crank arm suddenly came loose and near impossible to tighten. even with using threadlocker, it just gets loose after a few pedals. so i need to buy a replacement crank arm. when i tried to look for a spare battery for the 26 inch mountain bike, apyear removed it from their listing for some reason. it is back on their listing as of 7/2/2024. the power runs fine but after an official week of using this bike i can surely say even with set to the lowest output for pedal assist (which you cant turn off btw) its a good 3 to 4 hours. there are alot of factors that go into it. like riding up a hill or terrain. i have not found the second way to charging my battery, unless if pedaling counts, if so then that is a bad second method to charging this battery. it's a decent affordable E-Bike in my opinion but make sure to check the bike. also if you are trying to use this bike for deliveries, make sure to see about finding a spare battery.

Amazon offered a $50 coupon when I purchased the Apyear Q1 26” e-bike (Engwe branding on the instruction manual) so after the $100 shipping and tax this thing was only $377 and change. I just assembled it this evening in about 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent removing the very secure packing materials. I put the mostly full battery on the charger to top it off, had dinner, then went for a ride as the sun was going down. It held 18mpg on level ground with just the motor. I rode 10 miles and still had 1/2 the battery left which I thought was pretty good considering I was full throttle on hills most of the 10 miles. Love how the battery locks into the lower frame. It makes it very hard to tell that it is an e-bike and is very secure. Horn and switched headlight worked great. 7 speed Shimano rear hub required no adjustment and performed flawlessly. Cable operated disc brakes stopped the bike quickly. Front shocks and a large, cushy, springy seat made for a very smooth ride on rough roads. I also like how there are absolutely no markings on the bike. Just a nice matte black finish. Couldn’t be happier with the bike so far.
