  • Works fantastic, easy to install, build to last
Style: Dehumidifier w/DIY Bundle
These are fantastic, and the same quality that contractors will use when conditioning your crawlspace or basement, but at a fraction of the cost when you install yourself. Installation only takes a few minutes, depending on how you choose to get rid of the condensate water. I've had several contractors in my basement to deal with water intrusion, but the humidty levels were kept in check with this. I would recommend you use ducting for larger areas, so you can pull humid air and push dry air to distant ends to create a more uniform level of humidity. ... show more

  • Fantastic machine it’s working great so far!
Style: Dehumidifier
Update 12 months in and still fantastic! Keeping the humidity down and running the AC system about 30-40% less than we did prior to the install. Simple install just seconds after turning it on water started draining through the supplied clear drain pipe. I installed the unit on top of my air handler in the attic and it’s doing great so far. I tapped into the ac drain pipe to drain the condensation but recommend flushing it first to guarantee proper draining and flow. Was really easy to just plug it in and turn it on. It did great! Living in florida in an older water front home this thing seems to be doing it’s work. Our humidity is down 10% within a few hours from normal. I can’t wait to see how well it does in the following week! Also this unit has 8in duct fittings I read a review that said 10 inch ducting so I ordered that from Amazon unfortunately I’ll be returning those but Lowes and Home Depot had what I need to get it installed same day as the delivery. I spent maybe 100.00 on ductwork, tape and collars to fit this into my system. My ac guys said he could install his system for $5000.00 I’m all in this system installed for $1300.00 talk about savings!!! ... show more

  • Efficient an Effective
Style: Dehumidifier
I replaced a 9 year old Sanidry unit with this one based on reviews. When it arrived it was smaller and lighter than the one I replaced. They were equal in capacity. I installed in my encapsulated crawl space that was at 67 percent humidity. In no time this unit had everything back under control and back to 52 percent. Very happy going on week 2 of use. Also as an added bonus this is whisper quiet. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • You can buy cheaper - but this one is built like a tank and works great!
Style: Dehumidifier
I've tried several dehumidifiers. I have gone through 1 Fridigaire (lasted about 3 years) and 2 Honeywells (went through 2 in 1 year). Those were under $400 units for residential use - I left them running 24/7 in a basement and they just could not hold up. After considerable research, I found several more expensive units (about $500-600) but ended up buying this unit (even more expensive) and have no regrets. While I have only had it installed for about 5 months, it runs like a charm - quiet, solid build, and does the job. While the unit has a humidity read-out on the controls, i have a separate humidistat that allows me to monitor the basement from upstairs and it always seems to keep humidity under the level I have it set on. My son, the mechanical engineer recommended this unit and now I do too! I will try to update this review in another year after having more time with it. ... show more

  • Great dehumidifier, just needs some accessory modifications.
Style: Dehumidifier w/DIY Bundle
Works great! Brought my wood moisture down to 12%. The only negative is the pump will not mount to the unit as shown. You will need to fabricate a bracket. Also the sump on the pump sweats due to the cold water from the dehumidifier. I had to insulate it with foam.

  • Cheapest price we found for this excellent dehumidifier
Style: Dehumidifier
Very pleased with this dehumidifier. Installation was not bad at all, although my husband is an electrician. I was a little bit nervous about the shipping but it arrived in excellent shape with no complaints.

  • First whole house dehumidifier in attic with wall controller.
Style: Dehumidifier w/Wall Control
Suspended #70 in attic with 1 intake and 1 outtake on ceilings at opposite sides of 1,500 sq ft tight house. It blows out warm air each approx. 15 min cycle. Comes on about every 2 hours. That’s a lot of warm air being added and yet it feels great most of the time. Outdoor humidity has been over 85% since installed two weeks ago and it is set at 45%. The must-have and easy connection wall controller is not as sensitive as an HVAC controller, its range is wider. Turns on at preset and off when it’s below 3% to 4% preset. The ON and OFF buttons do not work. Overall, I love it! The a/c runs a lot less but when on, it needs to cool the warm air being added. (Neighbor professionally added a dif. brand “gold standard” in crawlspace. Aprilaire is far superior.) The discharge water pipe sweats! Use 1” or more rigid pipe and trap for peace-of-mind in a gravity fed installation and insulate where indoors. Trap should be at end of pipe. Really important. It’s rewarding to see a gallon of waste water every cycle. Bought a rubber boot tray and easily installed a float switch to dehumidifier. Also added a smart water sensor in tray. ... show more
