There is no physical shipment for AppleCare+. PROOF OF COVERAGE EMAIL You will receive an email from Amazon Marketplace with the AppleCare Proof of Coverage at time of device shipment. This email will contain your AppleCare+ agreement number, attached device serial number, coverage end date and link to the AppleCare+ terms and conditions. For gifts, please forward this email to the owner of the device. EASY ATTACH AppleCare+ attaches to the purchased device, so if its for you or someone else, you can have peace of mind that the coverage will follow the device. REVIEW COVERAGE DETAILS Once the device is setup and signed into AppleID, coverage can be reviewed directly on iPad in Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty. I received an email from Amazon with the header < Amazon.com Subscription Ending Soon (Activate to Renew) > In the body of the email it says <Your subscription to AppleCare+ for iPad (9th generation) - Renews Monthly Until Cancelled renews on Oct 5, 2023 and has not been activated yet. This is a friendly reminder to activate your subscription through Your Memberships & Subscriptions. If you have not activated your subscription by Oct 5, 2023, then your subscription will terminate and will not renew. > There is nothing in Memberships and Subscriptions about "activate". I chased down all previous emails from Amazon regarding this item. Again, nothing about "activate". At the bottom of the email was <If you need further assistance, please contact Digital Software Customer Service>, which I did. The representative said that activating had to be done though Apple. I called Apple, their representative said that no activation was necessary, and everything was fine with my iPad's AppleCare+ account. All this wasted 45 minutes of my time. I plan to file a complaint with Amazon. I hope this helps someone else. ... show more

  • Dropped Ipad On Christmas

Purchased the Apple warranty with the Ipad. Grand Daughter dropped her ipad on Christmas screen cracked. Contacted Apple Care right off had to pay $52.00. I was told a box would be sent so I can ship the Iap for repair. I was also told if it cost more to repair I would be contacted to pay more. I told the customer service rep I have the warranty. Oh well still have to pay. This is a joke I purchased the warranty for my grand daughter in case something like this happens. Well let me see how this goes may have to contact consumer affairs and the Better Business Bureau. Please watch when you purchase this warranty. May have to put more money out to purchase a Samsung Ipad. Very Disappointed!!! ... show more

I am here, reiterating the same complaint that several others have now posted. I have spent four hours and counting on this debacle. I am brand new to Apple products after being an Android user all my life. I recently started a very specialized graduate school program and the tech was HIGHLY recommended to me due to the very valuable study tools that are only available on Apple products. Being naive in the way of the Apple, I purchased my devices (MacBook and iPad) through Amazon with the AppleCare added to both. After about a week I noticed package tracking had frozen completely and my items had not moved from where they were in a nearby town in several days, I contacted Amazon and they were forced to "return" and re-order my items for me. The replacements showed up soon after, and when I set up both devices, the AppleCare was nowhere to be seen. I did a deep dive into the "digital product download" that was emailed to me with the order information, and found the "digital download" was merely terms and conditions of the warranty that is AppleCare+. Apparently, what was SUPPOSED to have happened, was after a few days the AppleCare+ would magically appear as being attached to my devices. After three days, the MacBook coverage did show up in my device information, but the iPad coverage never did. I do some MORE digging, chatting with Amazon customer service and Apple support, and we eventually found an email from Amazon with an agreement number for the MacBook, but we realized I had never received a similar email with the information I needed for the iPad. Amazon initially said they could not refund the AppleCare+ purchase unless I returned the iPad since it is a bundled purchase (not an option, I am using it daily for my studies). After an hour and a half of explaining my situation to customer support, repeating myself multiple times, they eventually agreed to refund the amount of the AppleCare to the card used on the purchase (which was a gift card I no longer physically have). According to them, there were no other options. Fortunately, the gift card info still shows in my payment profile options, I don't know how I'm going to verify if the money was actually refunded or not, but apparently it is supposed to be back on the card within 48 hours. All this to say, for the sake of your time and sanity, save yourself the potential headaches and hassles that I have experienced, just purchase your devices AND AppleCare directly from Apple. My lesson was learned the hard way. ... show more

If you buy your ipad with the applecare + (same order), it seems that they automatically register the applecare+. To check, go to Settings > General > About on your device and looking for AppleCare coverage. Register Your Coverage: If it doesn't automatically activate, or if you purchased AppleCare+ separately, you'll need to visit the Apple website. You'll likely need to sign in with your Apple ID and provide the AppleCare+ registration number and your device's serial number. If you want the pencil or keyboard to be part of AppleCare+ you must purchase the accessory with the ipad. ... show more
