However, like the MacBook Air, these MacBook models run OS X rather than the iPad's iOS. The MacBook "Core M" 1.1 12-Inch (Early 2015) features a 14-nm 1.1 GHz Intel "Core M" processor (M-5Y31) with two independent processor "cores" on a single chip, a 4 MB level 3 cache, an "integrated" Intel HD Graphics 5300 graphics processor that shares system memory, 8 GB of onboard 1600 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM (that cannot be upgraded), and 256 GB of onboard PCIe-based flash storage (that also cannot be upgraded). This all is housed in a wafer thin (0.14-0.52 inch), 2.03 pound, aluminum case offered in "traditional" silver color as well as gold (pictured) and a darker slate "Space Gray" color option. It also packs a lowly 480p FaceTime webcam, a backlit full-size keyboard with a thin "butterfly mechanism" keyboard design, a clever haptic-capable "Force Touch" trackpad, and a beautiful 12" TFT LED-backlit active-matrix "Retina" display (2304x1440 native resolution at 226 ppi). Apple boasts that the notebook additionally uses a new "tiered" battery design to maximize space inside the chassis and delivers 9-10 hours of runtime depending on use.

I received this MacBook on October 19th of last year a little less than six months ago, it was a little buggy the screen would pixelate really weirdly when it restarted but aside from that there were no other issues until two days ago it just stopped charging bought a replacement charger and it still won’t come on, chargers work in other devices so I know that the MacBook is the problem I’m very upset this is the biggest waste of 1000 dollars do not buy refurbished from amazon, it is and a huge inconvenience because I need my computer for work. If I could give this 0 stars I could. ***Update after contacting amazon*** --- And of course amazon was not helpful telling me they can't do anything and telling me to contact some third party seller when I only ordered this because it said prime and I wanted to go through amazon for something as expensive as this. In fact it was the reason I got prime in the first place. Be very wary when buying this stuff on here better to go directly through apple. ... show more

Amazing product, even after a year! I Love it. Edit: It has officially been about a month since I've had this product. It's still treating me well. It's quick and reliable. Great for a college student, the mobility is amazing. It's small and thin enough to put in the note book slot of your backpack. Edit: It's officially been a year. My laptop is as fast as it was out of the box. It has truly blew my expectations out of the water. I use it everyday without a hiccup. I love this computer! I was hesitant at first because it was so cheap, but after watching reviews I purchased. It's very small and lightweight, the screen graphics are very good, it's good. I was worried after reading mixed reviews if I should purchase it or not. However, because it was backed by Amazon Return policy I decided to take a chance. I completely love it! It comes in a generic white box with a new mac charger. It does not have any other ports except for the power port. The condition was extremely good. Compares to a brand new MacBook. It turned on well and fast. I created my own profiles, installed the new system update, etc. just like a new laptop. I haven't had any issues with the "heating up" problem that I read about. It gets warm, but I've had other laptops and all of them get warm when using for long periods of time, so the warmth that I get is considered normal for the amount of time that I leave it on. I use this computer for literally everything. College, work, homework, research, random web browsing. Speakers are great too. Added a picture, excuse my sticker and my keyboard cover, I also covered my screen, but for reference it is great. ... show more
