I'll give them credit for at least listing the exact model number - MC270LL/A - so you can look up the specs: RAM, processor, hard drive, etc. However, the operating system the machine is sent with is never listed past "10.xx" for these machines. This can make a HUGE difference. For instance, the mac mini I received had 10.13 installed. I did a lot of digging to find this is the highest OS this computer will run, yet the latest Office 365 for Mac requires minimum 10.15. I'd done all my homework on the hardware but only found this out - i.e. OS capacity - after having received the unit. Amazon should require the reseller to list the full OS the machine comes with. I had to research A LOT to find an older version of Office for Mac that will run on this machine (found link on a message board of some kind) and it seems to run fine without any compatibility issues - YET! But, I will never be able to upgrade it from here on out. This machine only cost $99, so I could almost forgive all of the above, but it was absolutely filthy inside (see pics). The mac mini is built to easily open the bottom and add/replace RAM yourself - which I did with 2, 4 GB RAM cards from amazon for only $27 (research the right type!) and it needed it, raising it from 2GB to 8 GB which made surfing the net nowadays tolerable speed-wise. This machine on the inside looked like it must have been sitting on a brown carpet for 12 years - this IS a 12-year-old computer as it is the mid-2010 model. The medium brown fuzz and dust on the inside had gathered to look like the lint trap on a clothes dryer. This is the easiest computer to open, in fact it's built to be, yet the reseller had obviously never opened it at all to even clean it! I know the processor on this machine is better than its follower, so it's a decent machine for its age, and I knew the RAM would need upgrading, etc. Knowing all that plus the age of the machine I had reasonable expectations and may have given this 3 stars or so; but I assumed "Certified Refurbished" would mean they at least cleaned it before reselling it! I'm on the fence about returning it as I'm looking for a replacement and I've already put a lot of work into it. If I do return it, they will be receiving it back a whole lot cleaner than when I got it!!! ... show more

I would love it if it were like you said but the super drive does not work and when it came it was really dusty I had to blow it out before I could use it it had super dust bunny's(The Super Drive does not work and you add say's certified and tested if that were true then you would not sell faulty stuff) The truth is it was very dusty and not tested before they sent it out but that is o.k. I know who not to buy from next time!!! ... show more

So the price is good for the year that it is, however when updated to the lates os that it can go up to, it runs so slow that I latterly have to click then walk away & come back... with what it has in it, it should flow fine. as if I was running it on a 2015 MacBook air, but yet it does not... so now I have to go & get a bran new one. because I dont want this to happen again.. I normally dont buy things such as apple stuff form amazon but the seller had really good reviews... I should have dug deeper because once I did I realize that they did not have as good as I thought that they did. ... show more

There was a large dent and the inside has lots of dust in it. The photo is incorrect on the listing and the listing shows it has 4 gigs of ram when it only has two.
