This is by far the best half shell ive bought. I have tried 3 others and they all fell short. I have a large head and everything else looked terrible, once it was on. A buddy had a daytona skull cap, so i tried it on and was amazed how well it fit. Then i saw the german style. Sold. Love it. Just to let others know i thought i would need a need a xl, but just by chance, they sent a 2xl, and its fits perfect!!! So keep in mind the sizing. I measured from their chart and should have been a xl. Got lucky i guess. Either way, great helmet. Everyone who sees it, says how much they like it too. *****'s for Daytona helmets ... show more

This helmet is the exact helmet I’ve been seeking. It’s novelty so not DOT , but anything DOT is going to give you the infamous “mushroom “ look! So I went with this, will protect your head in the unfortunate even you crash! Fits perfect I normally wear large so I went up a size and fits perfect. Use the measurements in the post! Nice looking helmet ..a little snug.. I wear a m/L....went with medium... Could have probably got a L... Novelty item...Definitely will snap in half if you go down and hit your noodle... So don't expect it to save ya... Sits good though and doesn't make me look like Lord Vader... Like all dot helmets do... Will stop more impact than my snapback so overall I dig it..ups put this package on someone else's door step.. Who brought it to me luckily... No fault to amazon.... But quite inconvenient ... show more

    • Get a windscreen (or already have one) - Great helmet!!!
This helmet is a snug fit based on the standard sizing chart. My 23" grape fits comfortably in a medium helmet. I love the quick release and the profile is outstanding. NO MUSHROOM HEAD!!! :) The reviews about wind grabbing the helmet are true. When I get to 50mph or faster, the helmet pulls up (the front tilts up). This does happen with this style helmet, especially at much faster speeds. It made me realize that I need to invest in a windscreen. A properly fitted windscreen will fix the wind problem. I know this because I had a looser helmet, same style, when I had my windscreen on, it prevented the "wind lift". My advice for anyone looking to purchase this helmet. It is a great and very sharp helmet. Do NOT buy it if you have no intension of using a wind screen. It simply won't work for you on the highway. But this is a GREAT product and I will buy from them again. I don't see any reason to rate anything less than the 5 stars. The wind isn't a product issue for this item. It is an issue for me and my bike. Easily resolved by adding a windscreen. The product is good to go! ... show more

The helmet looks very cool and badass, it does have a low profile fit on the head which I loved. It is a little tight probably because of the cushions inside but other then that it fits very snug. Probably going to order a saw large just to see the difference. But overall I loved the way it looks and feels. ... show more

It is a cool helmet. I have a 7 1/2 size head and purchased a XL size. I would recommend going a couple sizes bigger. I feel like I have a cone on my head and air gets under it feeling a kite. Comfort is good with the padding inside and have had a few people give me compliments on it. So go bigger on size so it's better on your head. ... show more
