Battery life too short , dies too fast 😡

Was nice while it lasted. It made it about 3 months, working fine. The battery symbol was always kind of wacky. It would say that it had less than 10% of battery life and then when I would plug it in, it would go up to 50% or something like that. I didn't mind that and I knew that was the case due to reading other reviews. This iPod was just for listening to audio so I could plug it in whenever I was using it. Now it doesn't even turn on. I don't know if it's a battery issue or not. I plug it in, press the power button and the Apple symbol shows up but then goes away after a couple seconds. While it's plugged in, I can see that there is light behind the screen. I will note that the screen is also pulling away from the rest of the iPod. When I unplug it, the light behind the screen goes away. Disappointed to have spent $160 on this iPod only to have it last a few months. I would've hoped to at least get a year out of it. Now I'm past the return window of course. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I fell in love with mp3 players long ago and once I got an iPod I was hooked for life. The musical transitions are great and there’s no pause when switching between songs , iPods are tried and true.

    • Not an iPOD
I got this to replace an iPOD nano. On the surface it does the trick, but the OS doesn't keep track of what is played all the time and it doesn't sync to iTunes all of the time, Smart playlist that look at last played or times played simply don't work on this. Which is a big thing for me
