I bought a 2017 iPad Pro 12'8" (512 mb) from the seller MOBILESUPPLY from through this page. (I think it depends on which one you buy, as to whom your seller is.) I wanted something to create art with my family on ProCreate (Though I'm showing a free app called artset in the photo (I like artset, but not that I can't resize canvize and pixels, etc.). I didn't need fancy updates from Mac or anything, but I definitely needed a solidly working iPad-- and this is it! :) The price at the time was less than $500 and it was in my budget. I had some questions for the seller, and I found MOBILESUPPLY very easy to work with-- and very honest. And I really value that as a buyer. I never once felt like there were any rude tones or dismissiveness. When I hook up my first gen Apple Pencil I’ve got a first rate drawing tool for a fraction of the cost of a new one. You're better off spending the extra money and getting a new iPad. I spent $500 on this and it died within a year. Screen went blank and its $500 to repair. Don't waste your money.

I’ve been using the 9.7 inch iPad Pro (1st generation) for a while now, at least 2 years most likely, and it’s been wonderful as my main portable computer. As a hobbyist artist it’s been fantastic, but I bought it mere months before this second generation released. Even before that I felt the size was fine, until I got my hands on a 12 inch pen display for my pc. Ever since I’ve been craving the larger size, but couldn’t afford it. Until now, that is. And what a delightful time it’s been on this roomy display. As an upgrade to the first generation it’s been worthwhile, especially for the admittedly subtle “pro motion” 120 hz capable display. Art, particularly drawing, has felt life-like. I believe the first time I tried one of the second iPad pros in the apple store I used the word “transcendental.” Possibly (quite heavily actually) quite a hyperbolic word, but it’s something I feel like I’d miss going back to other displays and devices. As a lesser device to the third generation pro I personally find no down side. I’m not a fan of Face ID. I’m not a fan of the lack of a home button even though I know I’d be able to get used to it quickly. The display on the third gen is much better, and the overall smaller footprint of the new iPad is much improved when you consider this beast has a 13 inch display. I don’t feel like I don’t have a top quality product, though. And the gap between this generation and the 3rd isn’t big enough for me to feel like I’m left out of something great. With the upcoming iPadOS I look forward to basically replacing my laptop with this. It’s worth mentioning that the refurb I got was in superb condition. If I was handed it in an actual apple box I likely wouldn’t have noticed. Apart from a minuscule scratch on the apple logo it’s in mint condition. However, like others I also received the wrong wattage USB adapter for charging. Be sure to already have a 12 watt charger on hand if you want it to charge fully, properly, and rapidly. Luckily I still had my own. Overall the low price is a great deal considering how nice my unit’s condition was in. I don’t regret it a bit and look forward to 2 or 3 years with this iPad. ... show more
