This was supposed to be refurbished, but the battery is shot. When using while plugged in and showing that it is charging, it loses power at about the same rate as it loses power during use when not plugged in....that is at about 25% of the charge per hour of use--hardly the ten hours between charges that they say. On the first overnight charge, it charged up fully. But after a rapid decline, I set it to charge for twenty-four hours, and it would not move past 85%. On the third charge, it again charged fully, but lost its charge rapidly during use.I have notified the seller about trying to resolve this problem, but received no response. I hesitate to return it for a replacement, since I do not know whether these "certified refurbished" devices can be trusted. ... show more

The iPad is working fine thanks to having another charger. The lightning plug on the charging cable sent with the iPad melted within minutes of being plugged in. (See picture.) I bought this to do digital art. Drawing tablets aren't cutting it for me, but this is perfect. The size is gigantic, which makes drawing a lot easier. It's an iPad, so expect good quality. As far as a renewed one goes, mine has no issues. It comes down to luck of the draw but the warranty for this seems very good. Great price, these things hold their value for a reason. ... show more

Made a gamble on this purchase. Great price, new item. "Certified Refurbished" Not sure who this refurbishment is certified by, but I am sure it isn't Apple. Came in a brown box with an Apple charger and an Apple lightning cable. The cover on the screen was something for an Android or Windows tablet, and only covered about 75% of the glass. I was pretty worried on opening the package, because I've been ripped off before on an iPad refurb on Amazon before. Had no SIM card, and was charged at 3%. Charged it up, put the SIM in from my Air, and restored from backup. Works great. Screen is flawless, and the back has no scratches or dents. I may have lucked out, or this may be the norm for this company, but I am very pleased with the purchase. ... show more
