That only problem that I had was that the Bluetooth would not pick up my devices unless I pressed on the pairing button for 5 Seconds. I found this frustrating and considered sending the device back. I replaced my gen-1 iPad mini with this gen-5 model. There was nothing wrong with my old mini, except the obsolete hardware would no longer accept upgrades or new software. I preferred this model to the new gen-6 because of several incompatibilities with my setup - e.g. gen-6 has no audio plug, uses USB-C cable, which would have required adapters and different spec cables, etc. I really just wanted an upgrade to my old mini without new incompatibility problems. I took the chance because the gen-5's will sell out before long, and I reasoned I could send it back if it was all dinged up. I saw no dings or problems at all. I was pleasantly surprised at the great condition of the renewed product I received and the prompt shipping. Before the gen-6 iPad mini came out this model with cell chip and 256 gigs cost twice as much as this renewed mini. Getting a virtually new mini for half price was an amazing deal. Conversion was easy. I backed up my old mini to my computer. I removed the SIM card from it and installed it in the renewed mini (which came without a SIM card). Then I restored my new mini from the backup. This mini comes with non-Apple charger and cable. I used my old mini's accessories. ... show more

I use my iPad mini to fly. Apple changed the dimensions of the iPads. I did not want to replace all my accessories. This iPad 5 has been working great. Thanks.

Bought this for my kid to use in flight school as the cellular feature is required to get a GPS signal for Foreflight. You don't have to subscribe to cellular, just get the capability. It works great and he's happy.
