I can't say this enough, always buy Apple branded products directly from apple versus third-party or off branded chargers. This gets lukewarm at its worst during very heavy intensive tasks such as video editing and rendering on a full charge on a MacBook 16-inch 2020 model. It will only draw a maximum of 96W so if you're video editing and rendering, the system will pull from the battery if it needs more than the charger can supply... without fail! Its charging speed is great so you can be up and running from 10% - 100% in 1 hour and 47 minutes. It works very well and came Brand new. I have a MacBook Pro. I leave it plugged in all the time. No problems. I take it to my second home and decided to buy a power supply for it so I didn’t have to take the supply with me. The first one I bought eventually started acting up. It would drain the Mac battery! The replacement I bought eventually would stop and start charging. The Mac would ding when the charger started up. Our old charger finally died after years of use. I looked to the Apple website and gasped at the price. Turned to Amazon, and there was the answer. Do yourself a favor: try to find the Apple-manufactured charger. They are durable, have excellent charging speed, and will last for quite some time. The knock-offs are cheap but risky.
