  • Seemed working good but I don't know it can't turn on
his MacBook Pro worked great for my college work, but after charging it from a dead battery, it would not turn on again. I’m not sure why, which was disappointing.

  • it's true; you DO get what you pay for
I purchased this out of desperation, because my original 2011 MBP finally bit the dust. I knew this laptop to be "renewed" but of course they don't share exactly what was "renewed" about it. What I received was a dirty laptop that sticks when I try to open it. The track pad is barely functional, and yes I've gone to settings and adjusted it. I'm also stuck having to update things because it hasn't been for quite some time, and a lot of stuff isn't compatible anymore. My biggest issue / concern right now is the screen and the molding around it. I'm guessing the screen was replaced on this laptop - renewed as it were. There's damage to the molding, but also to a corner of the screen itself. I actually wondered for a brief time if this was maybe a fake Mac but it seems real, just been through some tough times I guess. Interestingly; I got a size that I wouldn't get again... just a bit too big for ease of transport, comfort on lap, etc. ... show more

  • Awesome
I waited a bit to write this; just to be sure. This computer for 250$ was an absolute steal. I am still amazed at how well it performs. I have a mac mini- this mac almost keeps up with it. It is a tad slower, but who cares. I spent 650$ on a laptop from Best Buy just 3 years ago, and that computer sucks compared to this one. I dont even use it anymore. If you are a regular Amazon customer, you might just get rewarded with an amazing computer at an amazing price, that does what you want it to do. ... show more

  • Great value for the laptop but be weary of its condition
I mainly use my MacBook for productivity as well as for more intensive applications like virtualisation which it handles well. However, the battery life isn’t all that great my unit arrived with a battery cycle of around 450 which isn’t bad for a used laptop, but it drains relatively quickly even under a light load. What’s more is that it tends to heat up quite a bit. The keyboard gets uncomfortably hot and the backside can get burning hot, so much so I have to control the fans manually. I’d rate MacBook’s condition as average. On the surface the laptop was clean, however, the display’s anti-reflective coating was noticeably peeling (which looks like the picture I have attached) and the ports were also noticeably dirty. When I opened the inside the computer was incredibly dusty and dirty with grime buildup everywhere; the fans were even clogged by the dust buildup–it clearly had not been cleaned which I would have expected from a refurbished product. Additionally, charger supplied, although genuine, appears heavily used. It has multiple scratches and is bit grime, but works great. ... show more

  • Sure looks and works like brand new for almost $2,000 less than new prices
Based on the reviews it looked like we weren’t sure what to expect when we ordered it. It seems in a fierce competitive online market there seems to be a lot of false bad reviews given probably from competitors who ordered and returned just to write a bad review. This item came to us fast and even better than described. It looks like and works like 100% flawless brand new. Its somewhat of an advantage to buy a “reconditioned” product because each and every one of them have been completely gone through and tested to insure its working by an experienced detail oriented technician, the kind of attention mass produced products new on an automated assembly line don’t receive. We opened the box, were immediately impressed by the flawless condition, plugged it in and even with never using a Mac before had it fully set up and working in just a couple minutes. We immediately updated the OS X Maverick operating system that came in it to the latest Mac OS Catalina operating system directly from Apple for free. Very very very happy with this! ... show more

  • Great Laptop but speakers are not the best
This laptop arrived in pretty good condition not brand new but a very acceptable refurbished aesthetically pleasing machine BUT the speakers on the other hand were unacceptable. It sounded like they were busted, very staticky. I’m not sure if that model laptop is known to have those issues or if mine arrived faulty but that was a deal breaker for me. Other than that it’s good for smaller tasks. ... show more

  • Laptop works great - charger was damaged, but the company refunded. Much appreciated!
Macbook pros are expensive and this was an excellent price given the amount of RAM and storage - the only problem was that the charger was damaged on arrival. There were cracks in the plastic that looked like age where and the block part had exploded. There was no obvious damage the box. The lap was fine and works well. It was confusing at first re: what to do because I had purchased the Asurion policy - and I wanted to keep the laptop and just credit for the charger. Asurion initially said to try to get the refund from Amazon and send it all back - but this would invalidate the coverage of the laptop or potentially require me to refund the laptop although there was no other one available at that price with those specs. Amazon pointed fingers at Asurion and Asurion pointed fingers at Amazon say it was due to their delivery, but the seller came through and offered either to give me another charger, or refund me $20 to buy a new one (I took the latter). In truth, the charger looked to be in poor condition on arrival and probably shouldn't have been approved by the seller, but I appreciate they stood by their product and gave me the refund. For me to buy another refurbished one would have cost me twice the price from Apple. So 5 stars for BuySPRY standing by their product. ... show more
